The dream ticket of the Left has the former first lady on it. They’re hoping she’ll swoop in and save them from a possible Donald Trump presidency.

And the Democrats’ jaws dropped after Michelle Obama made her presidential campaign announcement.

As President Joe Biden continues to show concerns regarding his age and mental acuity, speculation increases over whether or not he’ll be replaced as the Democrat nominee for president.

Names of potential replacements include, Governor Gavin Newsom (D-CA), Vice President Kamala Harris, and J.B. Pritzker (D-IL).

But one of the most coveted names for the Left is Michelle Obama.

It’s been a dream for Democrats for years now for the former first lady to run for president.

And now she and her office have given an answer on her plans regarding the 2024 presidential election.

“As former first lady Michelle Obama has expressed several times over the years, she will not be running for president,” Crystal Carson, a communications director for Michelle Obama said to NBC News.

“Mrs. Obama supports President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ re-election campaign.”

Michelle’s husband and former President Barack Obama, is also “all in” for Biden this fall.

As Carson alluded to, Michelle Obama has given several hints over the years that running for president isn’t a desire of her’s.

“Politics is hard,” she said during a Netflix program last year. “You’ve got to want it. It’s got to be in your soul because it is so important. It is not in my soul.”

According to a Rasmussen poll from February, a little less than half of Democrats are in favor of replacing President Biden as the Democrat nominee.

20% of respondents of that poll expressed how Michelle Obama was their top candidate to replace him. She had the highest percentage of support compared to other potential candidates in the poll.

The former first lady has also been blunt about how much she fears a possible second term of Donald Trump.

“I’m terrified about what could possibly happen, because our leaders matter. Who we select, who speaks for us, who holds that bully pulpit, it affects us in ways sometimes I think people take for granted,” she said earlier this year while appearing on a podcast.

But regardless of her concerns, Michelle Obama won’t be running for president this year.

Democrats will have to wait until 2028 for her to potentially throw her hat in the ring as a presidential candidate.

So for now they’ll have to stick with the 81-year-old Joe Biden who’s approval ratings continue to sink lower and lower.
