The first lady can’t bear the idea of her husband losing reelection this year. She’s stopping at nothing to try and help him succeed.
But Donald Trump just handed Jill Biden a crushing defeat that she may never recover from.
As the 2024 election cycle is in full swing, the Biden campaign needs all hands on deck if they want to win in November.
First Lady Jill Biden is making sure she’s doing her part by campaigning for her husband President Joe Biden.
She’s been on a multitude of campaign trips this year and most recently was the headlining guest at a fundraiser in Missouri on Monday.
That event took place in the town of Ladue at the residence of Joyce Aboussie who is an operative for the Democrat Party.
On hand to listen to Jill Biden speak, were a “roomful of supporters,” according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
However, that “roomful of supporters” only amounted to about 30 people.
“Roughly 30 people attended, including some familiar faces such as Gephardt and former Build-A-Bear CEO Maxine Clark,” the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.
While speaking to the tens of people in the room, Ms. Biden touted her husband’s alleged accomplishments so far as president. She even stated that he “rescued” the United States from the COVID pandemic.
“He opened the schools. He got us vaccines,” Jill Biden said. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch also noted how she claimed that a Donald Trump presidency would be a “relapse into chaos and a threat to democracy.”
Speaking of Donald Trump, he was able to participate in a fundraiser of his own just a few days prior in Palm Beach, Florida.
The event took place on Saturday night and set a presidential campaign record for a single fundraiser with $50 million donated.
“Tonight will be an incredible night for President Trump and the Republican Party, raising an astounding $50.5 million,” Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles, advisers for the Trump campaign, said in a joint statement.
“It’s clearer than ever that we have the message, the operation, and the money to propel President Trump to victory on November 5.”
Recently Joe Biden brought in $26 million in a fundraising event that featured former Democrat Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. That event took place in New York City and featured some high-dollar donors and celebrities who were eager to support the president.
But that figure was blown out of the water by Trump’s $50 million that was raised this past Saturday.
Meanwhile, First Lady Jill Biden is struggling to bring in the enthusiasm herself by speaking to just 30 guests at her campaign event.
But it’s hard to be enthusiastic for a president who has done nothing but tear this country down with his horrific policies.
And Democrats can accept it or not, but momentum continues to mount for the Trump campaign and they can’t do anything to stop it.
