The FBI under President Trump is getting back on track. They aren’t letting crimes go unnoticed.
And the FBI just announced an earth shattering investigation into this radical Leftist initiative.
In a move to protect young patients, the FBI has opened criminal investigations into three prominent children’s hospitals—Boston Children’s Hospital, Children’s Hospital Colorado, and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles—following allegations that these facilities have performed irreversible s*x-change procedures on minors.
The investigations, sparked by a directive from Attorney General Pam Bondi, aim to enforce a federal law banning female g*nital mutilation (FGM) to halt what the Trump administration calls harmful medical interventions for children with gender dysphoria. A source familiar with the matter, speaking anonymously to Fox News Digital, revealed that these hospitals have been leading providers of such procedures in recent years.
Days after President Donald Trump’s inauguration, he signed an executive order tasking federal agencies with ending “irreversible medical interventions” for minors under 18 seeking treatment for gender dysphoria. Attorney General Bondi followed with a memorandum instructing Justice Department officials to rigorously enforce 18 U.S.C. § 116, the federal statute criminalizing FGM.
“I am putting medical practitioners, hospitals and clinics on notice: In the United States, it is a felony to perform, attempt to perform or conspire to perform female g*nital mutilation (‘FGM’) on any person under the age of 18,” Bondi’s memo declared.
“That crime carries a maximum prison sentence of 10 years per count. I am directing all U.S. Attorneys to investigate all suspected cases of FGM — under the banner of so-called ‘gender-affirming care’ or otherwise — and to prosecute all FGM offenses to the fullest extent possible.”
Bondi’s memo also announced the formation of a Coalition Against Child Mutilation, a new initiative to collaborate with state attorneys general in pursuing legal action against hospitals and practitioners violating FGM laws.
Additionally, the Justice Department’s Office of Legislative Affairs is crafting legislation to allow children and their parents “whose healthy body parts have been damaged by medical professionals through chemical and surgical mutilation” to seek retroactive justice against providers.
As the Trump administration intensifies its efforts to curb transgender medical treatments for minors, several hospitals have already shifted their policies. Children’s Hospital Los Angeles recently announced the permanent closure of its Center for Transyouth Health and Development, effective July 22, 2025, citing “significant operational, legal and financial risks stemming from the shifting policy landscape at both the state and federal levels,” per CBS News.
Children’s Hospital Colorado briefly paused its transgender treatments for patients under 19 in response to Trump’s executive order but resumed offering puberty blockers and hormone therapies after a judge blocked the order.
A hospital spokesperson clarified to Fox News Digital that it has “never” performed transgender surgeries on minors and ceased offering them to adults in 2023, instead referring patients to external providers, according to reports from Colorado Newsline.
Boston Children’s Hospital, meanwhile, continues to run its Gender Multispecialty Service (GeMS) program, which provides hormone therapy, puberty blockers, and social transitioning for minors, along with referrals for gender-transition surgeries.
The hospital restricts surgical procedures to patients over 18. In a statement to Fox News Digital, Boston Children’s said it has not been notified by the FBI of any alleged legal violations. The FBI, adhering to its policy, declined to comment on the investigations.
Growing Pushback Against Transgender Treatments for Children
The debate over transgender medical interventions for minors has ignited fierce opposition from parents, medical professionals, and advocacy groups who argue that such treatments can cause irreversible harm.
Critics point to the lack of long-term studies on the effects of puberty blockers and hormone therapies, which can lead to health compilations. Many also question the ability of children to make informed decisions about life-altering procedures, emphasizing the need for psychological support over medical intervention.
Across the country, grassroots movements and legislative efforts are gaining momentum to restrict or ban gender-affirming care for minors.
Public sentiment appears to be shifting as well, with recent polls showing increasing skepticism about allowing children to access irreversible treatments.
