Election season is almost in full swing. And Donald Trump is about to turn the 2024 race on its head.
That’s because former President Trump released a stunning new prediction about the 2024 election.
The race for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination is not very competitive at the moment, nor does it look like it will ever be.
According to polling from FiveThirtyEight polling, Donald Trump is firmly in the lead at 58.7%. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is in a distant second at 13.5%.
Entrepreneur and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy is sitting in third place at 7.5% and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley is close behind at 6.1%
Donald Trump will likely be the party’s nominee unless something absolutely insane occurs.
Trump knows this and is acting very confident in public appearances and on social media.
Recently in a post on Truth Social, he made a prediction about his competitor who’s the closest to him in the polls, Ron DeSantis.
“Ron DeSanctimonious has the Poll numbers of a wounded bird falling from the sky. I am up on him by 57 points, and going higher. He has proved to be a terrible and inept candidate who even fought Social Security and MediCare,” Trump wrote.
“He will SOON be out of money and dropping out of the race for President. After having single-handedly gotten him elected Governor, with no thanks or glory, it has been a beautiful thing to watch. Good luck Ron!”
According to a report from the New York Times, Ron DeSantis’ campaign is running low on funds.
His campaign currently has cash in the amount $13.5 million, but only $5 million of it is able to be used in the GOP primary.
Trump’s campaign funds that are able to be used for the primary are over seven times that, at $36 million.
This isn’t the first time the former President has lashed out at the Florida Governor over his campaign.
“He’s [DeSantis] got no personality, he’s got nothing going, and he’s dropped like a rock!” Trump said about his competitor in an interview with Newsmax a few months ago.

At one point earlier in the year, Ron DeSantis only trailed Donald Trump by 16 points.
But since then, Trump has found a way to rise further in the polls while the rest of the candidates sink lower.
DeSantis has recently put a ton of resources into Iowa in preparation for the state’s caucus in early January of 2024.
It’s unlikely that after making that big of a campaign move, a candidate like Governor DeSantis would drop out as quickly as Trump suggests.
