California Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom tries to act like a principled politician. But now we all know the truth.
Because Gavin Newsom just got exposed as a massive fraud once and for all.
Few states are running into more problems than California is right now.
Millions of Americans are fleeing the state because they can see that it’s become a radical, so-called “progressive” pigsty controlled by extremists in power of the state.
The writing is on the wall and Americans can read it. So they’re leaving for states like Texas, Florida, and Tennessee in droves.
In fact, for the first time ever in recorded American history, California saw a net population decline of nearly a million people in 2022.
Early reports from this year show that this population decline could very well be worsening as well.
The reason Americans are leaving the state is simply because they no longer find it viable to live under the radical policies coming out of the progressive Left.
Second Amendment rights are a shell in the state, parental rights over their kids’ education is all but gone, and the fiscal mismanagement from politicians in the state has caused a housing crisis that they have no idea what to do about.
A prime example of an insane policy being peddled by the radical Left is none other than what’s known as reparations.
California has been making the news lately as it has been considering dolling out millions of taxpayer dollars as reparations to Black Californians as a form of an apology for slavery from more than 150 years ago.
A task force was assembled, known as the California Reparations Task Force, and they are currently deciding whether to recommend paying upwards of $360,000 to more than 1.8 million Black California citizens with ancestors who may have been enslaved at some point in the United States.
The total cost of this program would be north of $640 billion dollars, all paid for by the taxpayer.
If this sounds insane to you, it’s because it is.
Gavin Newsom, however, isn’t saying a peep on the potential of paying out millions of dollars to Black Californians for so-called “reparations.”
Fox News recently reached out to the Newsom office to get a comment on Newsom’s views on reparations, but they got no response.
Newsom has also not been on record, publicly taking a stance on whether he thinks reparations are fair for all Americans.
The reason for this is that he knows that he’s in trouble no matter what he says, so he’s pulling a classic career-politician move.
If he kowtows to his extremist voting base and says that he thinks reparations are in order, he will be forced to dole out billions of dollars that the state doesn’t have, all for an elaborate virtue signal.
But if he rejects reparations, his radical base will be livid with him and he’ll be shooting his own political future in the foot.
He’s in a lose-lose right now. So he’s staying silent, hoping that this reparations task force doesn’t send him a final recommendation for reparations with a price tag of $640 billion dollars.
Newsom is a career politician in the making, and he’s not the principled guy he wants everyone to believe he is.
