The Biden administration’s incapacity on international policy and domestic security has been widely publicized in Washington, D.C.
Ron DeSantis is over it.
And Joe Biden just lost his job to Ron DeSantis.
Prior to Biden’s inauguration in January 2021, one of the major worries among Americans was how well he would be able to defend them from external foes.
Those worries weren’t without merit.
The administration of Joe Biden has sold out Americans for his personal political advantage while kowtowing to the two greatest threats to the world, China and Russia.
China’s rampant land acquisition here in the heartland of the United States is the most current problem.
Chinese ownership of American farms has surged 20 times just in the last ten years!
In 2010, the Chinese held farmland worth roughly $81 million. The current figure is $1.8 billion.
That poses a serious security risk, especially given that they are choosing to purchase land close to important military cities and bases.
The Biden administration has completely ignored this matter when questioned on it, as was to be expected given his administration’s stance of doing nothing.
Well, some conservatives, like Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, are fed up with this bullshit and are taking matters into their own hands.
Recently, Ron DeSantis declared that his administration was implementing new measures to safeguard Floridians from dangers like China.
The DeSantis team is attempting to stop countries like China from consuming farmland and near military posts, raising security and espionage worries, through administrative action and legislative recommendations.
“From server farms to farmland, the Communist Party of China has been worming its way into our nation’s data storage systems and buying up tracts of land near sensitive national security sites,” DeSantis said in a statement.
“By prohibiting the purchase of lands, state contracts with Chinese technology firms, and the infiltration of CCP-affiliated groups such as Confucius Institutes, Florida is leading the way to protect our nation from international foes.”
DeSantis signed an executive order that will ban foreign governments from “procuring technology and services from companies owned by, controlled by, or located in China or other foreign countries of concern.”
“With today’s Executive Order, Governor DeSantis takes decisive action to defend the State of Florida and all Floridians from the cyber threats posed by foreign countries of concern and associated groups,” said Pedro Allende secretary of the Department of Management Services.
The Biden administration is unable and unwilling to defend Americans both at home and abroad.
So, it must be done by someone.
Being the first Governor to publicly take these significant measures to safeguard his constituents—Ron DeSantis—speaks loudly.
In the 2024 election season, Biden and the Democrats won’t have any recourse against this.
To convey the message that “everything is fine” and that their administration has everything under control, they have chosen to downplay the security dangers that countries like China represent.
It’s not under control, though. And DeSantis is fed up with it.
