President Biden knew the State of the Union wasn’t going to go well. But he never thought this would happen.
And Joe Biden started screaming after this State of the Union surprise.
Joe Biden has had more failures and scandals in the past year than most presidents have over the course of two terms.
China is openly spying on us with balloons over U.S. soil without anything more than strongly worded reply to fight back.
Russia is threatening nuclear war for Biden’s brazen funding of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The southern border is more porous than ever, with no end in sight for the swamped border states.
All in all, the State of the Union is not looking good to everyday Americans, and Joe Biden can’t hide that fact – and it looks like no one believes him anyway.
Before President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address on Tuesday, only 39 percent of American adults believe the country is in good shape.
According to Monmouth research from Monday, less than four in ten Americans believe the status of the union is strong, while 58% believe it is not.
Among those who doubt the union’s strength, 32% believe it is not too strong, while 26% believe it is not at all strong.
Just seven percent claim it is very strong. Thirty-two percent allege it is somewhat strong.
Under Biden’s leadership, the country has been through terrible times.
At the southern border, about two million migrants were captured. Fentanyl has become the leading cause of death among people aged 18 to 45. Inflation has reached a 40-year high. Gas prices have reached all-time highs. Wages were reduced on a weekly basis. The supply chain problems remained. And the country was greatly embarrassed by the violent Afghan pullout.
According to the poll, Americans have become dissatisfied with the status of the nation since former President Donald Trump took office in 2018. In 2018, 55% thought the union was somewhat strong, compared to 39% for Biden.
The decline in poll numbers is being driven primarily by independent voters.
The survey found that “[i]ndependents’ opinion of the strength of the union has dropped more steadily from 52% in 2018, briefly plateauing at 44% in 2019 and 46% in 2022, and then dropping to 33% in the current poll.”
According to the survey, only 24% of Americans believe the country is on the right track.
73% believe it is heading in the wrong direction. Only 41% of Democrats, 6% of Republicans, and 22% of independents believe the country is heading in the right direction.
The poll surveyed 805 adults in the United States from January 26 to 30, with a margin of error of 5.7 points.
And with 2024 just a year away, Biden is going to have to act fast if he wants to turn his ship around.
