Top Trump officials go scorched earth on the Leftist media for this appalling reason

Donald Trump’s administration isn’t backing down. They’ll do all they can to defend the president.

And these top Trump officials went scorched earth on the Leftist media for this appalling reason.

Last weekend, President Donald Trump authorized precision strikes on three of Iran’s nuclear facilities. While the administration hailed the operation as a decisive blow to Iran’s nuclear ambitions, major media outlets like CNN and The New York Times quickly published reports citing a leaked intelligence assessment, claiming the strikes merely delayed Iran’s nuclear program by a matter of months.

This narrative has drawn fierce criticism from Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who labeled the leakers as “professional stabbers” and confirmed that an FBI investigation is already underway to uncover the source of the leaks.

CNN reported, “The US military strikes on three of Iran’s nuclear facilities last weekend did not destroy the core components of the country’s nuclear program and likely only set it back by months, according to an early US intelligence assessment that was described by seven people briefed on it.”

Similarly, The New York Times proclaimed, “Intel Report on Iran Upends Victory Lap Trump Was Hoping for at NATO,” suggesting the strikes fell short of their strategic goals.

Speaking at the NATO summit in The Hague, Netherlands, alongside President Trump and Secretary Hegseth, Rubio sharply rebuked the leakers. “First of all, all of this stuff about the intelligence: This is what a leaker is telling you the intelligence said. That’s the game these people play; they read it and then they go out and characterize it the way they want to characterize, and they’re leakers. This is the game they play. So that’s number one,” Rubio stated.

He then highlighted the operation’s success, noting, “The conversion facility — which you can’t do a nuclear weapon without a conversion facility — we can’t even find where it used to be on the map. You can’t even find where it used to be because the whole thing is just blackened out. It’s gone.”

President Trump interjected, emphasizing the extent of the destruction: “It’s wiped out.” Rubio echoed, “It’s wiped out,” and elaborated, “Then we dropped 12 of the strongest bombs on the planet right down the hole in two places. Everything underneath that mountain is in bad shape.” He pointed to a statement from IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi, who contrasted Iran’s nuclear capabilities before and after the attack, concluding, “They are way behind where they were just seven days ago.”

Rubio further asserted that while rebuilding is possible, the U.S. now has precise knowledge of the facilities’ locations, ensuring future options if Iran attempts to recover. “But all of this leaker stuff; these leakers are professional stabbers. That’s what they are. They go out and they read this stuff and then tell you what it says — against the law — but they characterize it for you in a way that’s absolutely false. There’s no way Iran comes to the table if somehow nothing had happened: This was complete and total obliteration,” Rubio declared.

Defense Secretary Hegseth reinforced the mission’s success, emphasizing the precision and power of the strikes. “When you talk to people who built the bombs, understand what those bombs can do, and deliver those bombs, they landed precisely where they were supposed to,” he said.

“It was a flawless mission. Right down where we knew they needed to enter. Given the 30,000 pounds of explosives, the capabilities of those munitions, it was devastation underneath Fordo.”

He dismissed the leaked assessment as speculative and misleading, noting its preliminary and low-confidence nature. “Moderate to severe, and we believe far more likely severe and obliterated,” Hegseth added, aligning with Trump’s assertion that the report acknowledged potentially “very devastating” outcomes.

Addressing the leaks directly, Hegseth confirmed an ongoing FBI investigation. “We’re doing a leak investigation with the FBI right now, because this information is for internal purposes, battle-damage assessments. And CNN and others are trying to spin it to make the president look bad when this is an overwhelming success,” he stated.

The rapid publication of these leaks by prominent media outlets has fueled a growing distrust among Americans toward the press. Many citizens view such reports as attempts to undermine national security efforts for political gain.

The selective leaking of preliminary, low-confidence assessments, as seen in this case, often distorts the public’s understanding of complex military operations. When media outlets prioritize sensational headlines over verified facts, they erode their own credibility, leaving Americans skeptical of their intentions and reliability.

This incident is part of a larger pattern where leaks and biased reporting have strained public confidence in journalism. Many feel that such actions not only misinform but also jeopardize national interests by casting doubt on successful operations like the Iran strikes.
