Barack Obama continues to seek the spotlight. But not for good reasons.
And Obama was caught making a truly disturbing statement about the Trump assassination attempt.
In the aftermath of a brazen armed assault on the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, former President Barack Obama took to social media with a carefully worded statement that raised more questions than it answered.
While calling for Americans to “reject” political violence, Obama conspicuously avoided any mention of the shooter’s clear ideological motivations or his explicit targeting of President Donald Trump and top administration officials.
The Saturday night incident in Washington, DC, involved suspect Cole Tomas Allen.
Law enforcement thwarted the attack, though one Secret Service agent was wounded. Rather than address the emerging facts, Obama insisted the public still lacked clarity on what drove the gunman.
“Although we don’t yet have the details about the motives behind last night’s shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner, it’s incumbent upon all us to reject the idea that violence has any place in our democracy,” Obama wrote.
He went on to praise the courage of the Secret Service while expressing relief that the injured agent would recover.

This evasion did not go unnoticed. Obama’s post appeared almost six hours after the New York Post published excerpts from Allen’s lengthy manifesto.
The manifesto, signed “Cole ‘coldForce’ ‘Friendly Federal Assassin’ Allen,” laid out his intentions in chilling detail. The shooter declared his plan to target the president and his administration officials, “prioritized from highest-ranking to lowest.”
“I am no longer willing to permit a p*dophile, r*pist, and traitor to coat my hands with his crimes,” Allen allegedly said in his manifesto.
Trump officials and Republicans quickly called out what they saw as deliberate ignorance from former President Obama.
EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin minced no words: “Let’s not pretend to be this clueless about motive.”
“The attempted assassin put out an anti-Trump manifesto about wanting to k*ll Trump Admin officials, minutes before trying to storm a ballroom filled with the President, VP, Cabinet, and many others from his Admin.”
Former FBI Assistant Director Dan Bongino reacted with disbelief, posting simply, “Are you kidding?”
Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) took a sharper tone, arguing there was no mystery here. “It was politically motivated. He made that pretty clear.”
In a follow-up, Lee compared the situation to known facts everyone understands: “We ‘don’t know’ the shooter’s motive [i]n the same sense that we ‘don’t know’ who k*lled OJ Simpson’s wife.”
