Trump has to be tired of this. He’s constantly being bombarded by the left.
And impeachment threats continue to rain down on Donald Trump.
Through a stunning display of partisan obsession, Texas Democrat Rep. Al Green took to the airwaves on CSPAN’s “Washington Journal” this Tuesday to declare war on President Donald Trump once again.
Rather than focusing on the real struggles facing everyday Americans, Green has decided it’s time to dust off the impeachment playbook for what he calls “dastardly unconstitutional violations of the law.”
The veteran lawmaker didn’t hold back in his attacks. He zeroed in on claims that President Trump is somehow running a massive scam at the expense of ordinary people.
“How can continue to impose this fraud, this Ponzi scheme, on people such that he makes, hundreds of millions at the expense of other people who buy into his Ponzi scheme? He’s more concerned about that than the lives that are being lost,” Green stated.
Green then pivoted to personal history, invoking the painful legacy of segregation to paint a dark picture of today’s political climate.
“I lived through Jim Crow. I went to the back door. I drank from colored water fountains. I had to sit in the back of the bus. Yes, I can see us unfortunately regressing. I can see us moving in the wrong direction. And when you start making people suspect because of how they look, you’re moving in the wrong direction, and you are moving toward Jim Crow,” he continued.
Such inflammatory language reveals more about the desperate tactics of the radical left than any actual policy from the Trump administration.
Instead of uniting the nation, figures like Green prefer to stoke division by dragging America back into old battles that most citizens have long moved past.
Trump’s focus on secure borders, fair trade, and law and order protects all Americans regardless of background.
The congressman saved his strongest fire for a direct threat against the president.
“But let me say this to you, sir. Worry not. Al Green will bring articles of impeachment within a very short period of time against this president for his dastardly unconstitutional violations of the law. We call it high crimes and misdemeanors. They will be brought,” Green said.
This isn’t governance; it’s theater. After years of failed Russia hoaxes, two sham impeachments, and endless lawfare, the same crowd now promises another round.
American voters rejected this nonsense at the ballot box, yet entrenched politicians refuse to accept the verdict of the people.
Green didn’t stop there. He extended an invitation to the host of the show for what promises to be another round of grandstanding.
“I will now ask for the opportunity to return to your program, and I have those and hand them to you personally, and we will discuss them,” he stated.
One can only imagine the spectacle. A member of Congress treating a cable program like a personal stage for political revenge.
