The White House had a rough go of it lately. But no one expected this to happen.
And now Kamala Harris suffered a one-two punch in this devastating attack.
Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) disagreed with Vice President Kamala Harris on not ruling out the possibility of “consequences” for Israel if it invades Rafah.
Fetterman has steadfastly supported Israel since Hamas’s terrible attack on October 7. Despite calls for a truce to allow aid and safety for Palestinians under heavy Israeli bombardment, the Pennsylvania Democrat has remained supportive of Israel while condemning Hamas.
Meanwhile, during an interview aired on This Week Sunday, Harris stated that if Israel invades Rafah, where the majority of Palestinians in Gaza have fled, the administration could retaliate.
According to Harris, “there’s nowhere for those folks to go” if the Israel Defense Forces reach Rafah, thus she will “rule out nothing” in terms of consequences.
“Hard disagree,” Fetterman wrote on X, along with a screenshot of Harris’s interview. “Israel has the right to prosecute Hamas to surrender or to be eliminated. Hamas owns every innocent death for their cowardice hiding behind Palestinian lives.”

Many progressive Democrats have reacted negatively to Fetterman’s backing for Israel’s sustained war activities. In January, demonstrators camped outside his Braddock, Pennsylvania, home, chanting that the senator was “supporting genocide.”
Fetterman stated the same month that the progressive movement had “left” him. Instead of far-left Democratic backing, he has received plaudits from the opposite side of the aisle.
“My friend Sen. Fetterman is correct — Israel is working to bring every single hostage home, including Americans, and ensure October 7 never happens again,” Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL) said. “Why would the Administration constantly undermine these efforts? This only enables and emboldens Hamas.”

Meanwhile, Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) has called for a cease-fire in Gaza. Sanders and Fetterman previously supported each other, but now find themselves on opposing sides of this issue.
The images of hostages will be displayed in Fetterman’s Washington, D.C., office until they are all returned, according to the Senator. Hamas is thought to have more than 100 hostages.
This is notable since the Biden campaign is already finding itself on the losing end of countless polls.
Many believe Biden himself is not mentally fit for office.
But Kamala Harris has broken records by having an even worse approval rating than the president himself.
Joe Biden currently sits at 40.1% approval, while Kamala is garnering an awful 37.2% rating according to FiveThirtyEight polling averages.
High-profile Democrats like Fetterman calling out Kamala will only hurt Biden’s chances as we get closer to November.
And he’s hardly alone in the sentiment. A report from The Hill earlier this year found that multiple high-level Democrats don’t want Kamala Harris to be on the ticket.
Unfortunately, since Kamala is the first woman and minority Vice President, the optics of canning her would be worse than keeping her.
Instead the Democrats will limp along with a bad candidate and an even worse running mate in hopes scrape together a victory. In the wake of this administration’s actions, good luck.
