The Left is hysterical right now. They thought tossing Biden off the bus would help.
But now Kamala is bleeding support from the last group she can afford to lose.
Vice President Kamala Harris is facing serious trouble with independent voters, according to a Gallup poll released just 48 days before the election.
The numbers are grim for Harris, with only 35% of independents approving of her performance, while a staggering 60% disapprove.
It’s hard to see how her campaign can win over undecided voters with such abysmal figures.
In comparison, Trump isn’t faring much better among independents, but he’s still ahead of Harris. His approval rating sits at 44%, with 53% disapproving.
Among the general population, Trump holds a slight edge over Harris, boasting a 46% approval rating compared to her 44%. Gallup noted that despite these negative overall numbers, both candidates have strong backing from their respective party bases.

Harris enjoys overwhelming support from Democrats, with 94% approving of her, while Trump has 91% approval among Republicans.
But these numbers don’t mean much if she can’t sway independents, who could be key to deciding this election.
In 2020, Biden won independent voters by a solid 9-point margin, a significant factor in his victory.
This was a notable swing from 2016 when Trump narrowly edged out Hillary Clinton among independents. Harris, however, appears to be losing ground where it matters most.
Political pundits took to social media to highlight the dangers these poll numbers pose for Harris. Fox News columnist David Marcus pointed out, “Harris needs to turn this around. Nobody knows who she is or what she stands for, and she’s bleeding trust.”
It’s hard to argue with that, especially given how invisible she’s been on the campaign trail.
Clay Travis, founder of Outkick, didn’t mince words, either.
“This is why they are trying to hide her. The more people see her, the less they like her,” he tweeted, highlighting how Harris’ favorability is collapsing, especially among independent voters.
With the election potentially coming down to seven key battleground states—Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin—Harris’ struggles with independents could spell disaster.
As of Wednesday morning, Trump and Harris are neck-and-neck in those critical states, with Trump leading in four, while Harris clings to narrow leads in the other three.
These razor-thin margins should be a wake-up call for Harris. If she can’t reverse her freefall among independents, her path to victory could very well be blocked.
