The White House isn’t holding back. They’re ready to go on an all out assault on Donald Trump.
And Karine Jean-Pierre lobbed a disgusting attack towards Trump during an unhinged press conference.
In a press briefing on Tuesday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre defended labeling former President Donald Trump as a “threat” to democracy due to his alleged involvement in the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot.
Her firm stance came after being questioned about Trump’s recent remarks, in which he claimed that President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ rhetoric was inciting threats to his life.
When asked by ABC News correspondent Selina Wang about Trump’s statement that Biden and Harris’ comments were causing him to be “shot at,” Jean-Pierre reiterated that President Biden has consistently emphasized the danger Trump poses.
“President Biden has been clear-eyed about the threat that the former president represents to our democracy,” Jean-Pierre stated. She highlighted Trump’s refusal to accept the outcome of the 2020 election and pointed to the insurrection, where “2,000 angry people” stormed the Capitol to overturn the results of a 2020 election.
Jean-Pierre doubled down, asserting that Trump’s criticisms won’t deter the administration from strongly defending democratic values. “We have to be forceful about that. We have to be very clear,” she insisted.
This exchange occurred just days after Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, was arrested for attempting to assassinate Trump near his West Palm Beach golf course. This incident happened two months after Trump was nearly assassinated during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Routh’s posts on social media echoed the same phrase Biden and Harris have used in their speeches: “DEMOCRACY is on the ballot.”
Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy challenged Jean-Pierre on her language, pointing out that another assassination attempt had occurred just two days prior.
“How many more assassination attempts on Donald Trump until the president, the vice president, and you pick a different word to describe Trump other than ‘threat’?” Doocy asked.
Jean-Pierre did not hold back in her response, pushing back on Doocy’s framing of the question. She bizarrely expressed concern that such a question could mislead viewers, saying, “The premise of your question… is incredibly dangerous, because American people are watching.”
She also emphasized that her comments about January 6 were based on so-called facts, not rhetoric, and noted that the administration has consistently condemned political violence.
Doocy followed up by questioning whether the administration worried that their language might encourage unstable individuals to take it literally. Jean-Pierre, however, stood her ground, defending the White House’s use of hateful rhetoric.
She pointed to January 6 as an example of why she and the Biden/Harris admin continue to spew violent language and false statements against Donald Trump.
“We have denounced political violence over and over,” she said, concluding her remarks by adding, “People are watching.”
Unfortunately for Jean-Pierre, people are watching her as well and noticing how she and her Leftist pals continue to rile up their base by making false claims of Donald Trump being a so-called “threat to Democracy.”
