Some members of the Left can’t hide their hatred from America. Especially when they’re caught on camera.
And this leading Democrat was caught betraying the United States in a leaked video.
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is one of the radical Leftists who is part of the Squad that includes other unhinged Democrats such as Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MN).
Omar is from Somalia, and often times puts the interests of them ahead of the United States.
That was again the case in a video that circulated over the weekend that showed her emphasizing that Somalian interests are her number one priority.
The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter) and includes an English translation. The translation hasn’t been verified by several news outlets, but Omar’s response to the criticism of the video leads many to believe the translation is accurate.
In the footage, Omar can be seen saying that her duty as a congresswoman is to be a representative for Somali Americans and their interests. She also added that the “U.S. will do what we want and nothing else.”

“Terrorist sympathizer Ilhan Omar in her own words: Somalian first. Muslim second. She never mentions America,” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene posted on X in response to the video.
“She flaunts using her position as congresswoman to protect Somalia’s border while our border is invaded by MILLIONS of illegals who are a danger to America.”
“These people hate America and they’re so emboldened by the Democrats’ disdain for our country, they’re not even trying to hide it anymore.”

One researcher commented on the video and suggested that the interpretation was off.
“This interpretation is slanted. Omar says she is representing the interests of Somalis in the United States, which is a legitimate task, as a Congresswoman in any democratic system. She says at the end that all the five territories will be liberated, but it appears rhetorical.”
“It’s not only slanted but completely off, but I wouldn’t expect more from these propagandists,” Omar said in response to the researcher.
“I pray for them and for their sanity. No nation-state can survive if its states start to get involved in land lease negotiations with other countries without the consent of the federal government.”
“Somalis in Somalia and in the diaspora are united in that effort and I stand in solidarity with them. No amount of harassment and lies will ever change that.”
Omar was referring to Somalia’s ongoing dispute with Ethiopia.
But as Rep. Greene stated, perhaps it’s time for her to focus on American interests first and foremost.
