Leftist judge hands down catastrophic decision that could be the death blow to Trump’s campaign

Donald Trump’s legal woes continue. The Left will do their best to make sure that he’ll never see light at the end of the tunnel.

And a Leftist judge has handed down a catastrophic decision that could be the death blow to Trump’s campaign.

In a recent decision, Judge Juan Merchan dismissed Donald Trump’s third attempt to have him removed from the former president’s hush money case.

Trump had argued that the judge should recuse himself due to his daughter’s involvement in marketing work for Democratic politicians, specifically for Vice President Kamala Harris. However, Merchan firmly rejected this motion.

In an order made public on Wednesday, Merchan pointed out that Trump’s request was not only filed past the deadline but also failed to present any new compelling arguments.

The judge accused Trump of relying on “innuendo and mischaracterizations” to suggest that there was a conflict of interest in the case.

“This Court now reiterates for the third time, that which should already be clear – innuendo and mischaracterizations do not a conflict create,” Merchan stated. “Recusal is therefore not necessary, much less required.”

Trump’s previous two attempts to have Merchan step down were also denied, with the judge referencing an independent panel’s finding that his daughter, Loren Merchan’s, work for Authentic Campaigns, a prominent Democratic marketing firm, did not create a conflict of interest.

Trump’s legal team argued that their latest request was justified by Harris’s recent emergence as his main Democratic opponent following President Joe Biden’s exit from the race.

They highlighted Loren Merchan’s longstanding relationship with Harris, including her work on various political campaigns.

Authentic Campaigns, where Loren Merchan is a partner, has earned millions through its work for leading Democratic figures, including Harris, Biden, and Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA).

Schiff, notably, was using Authentic’s services while his Senate campaign was fundraising off Trump’s New York trial last year.

Despite Trump’s attorneys contending that Loren Merchan’s firm could benefit financially from the progression and outcome of Trump’s case, Judge Merchan remained unconvinced.

He emphasized that Harris’s new candidacy did not offer any fresh information for the court to consider, and that Trump’s lawyers were merely rehashing arguments that had already been dismissed by both his court and higher ones.

Following a congressional inquiry into Authentic Campaigns, the firm’s founder, Mike Nellis, publicly defended his company for the first time.

In a letter, Nellis clarified that since January 2023, Authentic has not worked for Harris’s campaign, Biden’s campaign, or the Democratic National Committee. He acknowledged, however, that the firm had previously worked for Harris during her 2019 presidential bid.

“Neither Authentic nor Ms. Merchan benefits financially from any rulings in Donald Trump’s criminal or civil trials,” Nellis wrote, countering the narrative pushed by Trump’s team.

Merchan’s recent ruling keeps him in charge of the case, even after Trump was convicted in May of falsifying records related to a payment made to Stormy Daniels.

As the judge prepares to weigh an argument from Trump for the dismissal of his charges, he is also expected to oversee Trump’s sentencing, scheduled for September.
