NBC HQ is on fire after being caught in an appalling lie

The mainstream media is desperately trying to generate momentum for Kamala Harris. But they went way too far this time.

And now NBC HQ is on fire after being caught in an appalling lie.

NBC’s Kristen Welker is at it again, this time by “incorrectly implying” that Vice President Kamala Harris was present at the dignified transfer ceremony for U.S. troops killed during the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal.

During an appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., didn’t hold back in his criticism of President Biden and Harris for neglecting the families of the fallen soldiers.

“Joe Biden and Kamala Harris — where were they? Joe Biden was sitting at a beach. Kamala Harris was sitting at her mansion in Washington, D.C. She was four miles away — ten minutes. She could’ve gone to the cemetery and honored the sacrifice of those young men and women, but she hasn’t. She never has spoken to them or taken a meeting with them,” Cotton blasted Welker.

“It is because of her and Joe Biden’s incompetence that those 13 Americans were killed in Afghanistan.”

But instead of addressing the senator’s powerful statement, Welker interrupted with a weak defense: “They did meet them during the dignified transfer. They were with them at the dignified transfer.”

It didn’t take long for NBC to backtrack on Welker’s misstatement. The network posted a correction on the show’s X account, admitting their mistake.

“On our broadcast this morning, we incorrectly implied that both President Biden and Vice President Harris attended the dignified transfer of 13 American service members killed during the Afghanistan withdrawal,” the statement read.

“Biden was in attendance but Harris was not.”

President Biden was, indeed, at the event, but his behavior didn’t exactly scream respect—he was caught “repeatedly checking his watch” during the solemn proceedings.

Meanwhile, former President Trump made a point to honor the third anniversary of the botched Afghanistan withdrawal by visiting Arlington National Cemetery at the request of Gold Star families.

Christy Shamblin, the mother of fallen U.S. Marine Sgt. Nicole Gee, one of the 13 service members killed in Afghanistan, shared her thoughts with “The Sacramento Bee.”

“The Trump team is very, very respectful and cognizant. They wanted to be respectful to everyone there,” Shamblin said, contrasting sharply with how the media covers Biden and Harris. “The big news stories that the mainstream media covers about the [Fallen] 13 aren’t stories of honor and respect. It’s hard to understand why.”

Shamblin went on to express her confidence that a second Trump administration would be “better for veterans and their families,” adding that the Trump team worked diligently to ensure the ceremony was carried out without disruptions.

Despite repeated attempts by the families of the 13 fallen service members to reach out to the Biden administration, they have yet to hear from either Biden or Harris. Shamblin noted, “At least Biden sent us a form letter.”

She also shared the emotional toll of being ignored by the current administration.

“I think one of the most devastating parts of having the administration really just ignore this and not speak their names and speak to us, is that you start to feel like your loss is really in vain.”

Once again, NBC’s coverage shows where its priorities lie—not with the truth, and certainly not with the families of the fallen.
