President Trump can’t believe it. This was news he wasn’t expecting at all.

And a new report hit Trump’s desk that left him utterly speechless.

Trump’s Favorability Hits Record High in New York

President Donald Trump’s favorability rating in New York – a state known for being dark blue – has surged to a record high, according to a newly released Siena College poll.

The results highlight a significant shift in public sentiment, particularly regarding Trump’s aggressive stance on illegal immigration.

The survey, published Monday, reveals that Trump’s approval rating in the Empire State has climbed to 41%, matching his highest score ever in this poll.

The last time the president reached this level of support in his largely Democratic home state was back in December 2016, just before he entered the White House in his first term.

A major factor driving this boost in favorability is his firm position on immigration enforcement. According to the poll, a striking 79% of respondents back Trump’s initiative to deport illegal migrants who have been convicted of crimes.

Additionally, 54% of voters believe Trump will do an “excellent” or “good” job securing the borders in the United States.

“President Trump has not been popular in his former home state for more than a decade. And while that is still true, Trump now has his best favorability rating, 41-56%, since the month before he took office the first time, December 2016, when his favorability rating was 41-53%,” Siena pollster Steven Greenberg stated.

The breakdown of the numbers illustrates a stark partisan divide. “Currently, Republicans view him favorably, 83-13%, while Democrats view him unfavorably, 17-81%. Independents are in the middle, 48-46%,” Greenberg continued.

The poll results coincide with an intensified federal immigration enforcement effort in New York City. Last Tuesday, heavily armed federal agents launched a series of targeted operations, apprehending migrants with warrants for severe crimes such as m*rder and kidnapping.

One of the most high-profile arrests included Anderson Zambrano-Pacheco, an alleged leader of the Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua. He was taken into custody at an apartment in the Bronx, signaling a renewed push to remove dangerous individuals from U.S. soil.

Meanwhile, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is preparing for his first official visit to the U.S.-Mexico border, where he is expected to emphasize the increasing military involvement in border security operations.

The administration has significantly bolstered military presence along the border, deploying 1,500 active-duty troops last month to go alongside the 2,200 National Guard and Reserve personnel already stationed there.

Looking ahead, the administration is set to implement even more rigorous enforcement actions, including deportation flights to the U.S. military base located at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

In line with this policy, military aircraft have already been deployed to repatriate migrants to various Latin American nations.

“Whatever is needed at the border will be provided,” Hegseth affirmed last week.

“The Defense Department will support the defense of the territorial integrity of the United States of America’s southern border, including reservists, National Guardsmen, and active-duty [personnel] in compliance with the Constitution and the laws of our land, and the directives of the commander-in-chief,” he stated.

With immigration enforcement at the forefront of Trump’s policies, his growing support in New York suggests that even in a historically Democratic stronghold, voters are taking note of his firm approach to border security and public safety.
