Newly surfaced video from Kamala Harris’s past shows just how radical she really is

Harris has always been known to have insanely Leftist viewpoints. But this goes a step farther than that.

And a newly surfaced video from Kamala Harris’s past shows just how radical she really is.

Vice President Kamala Harris has to be nervous right now. While some national polls show her leading the presidential election, what those polls don’t take into account is that former President Donald Trump has historically over-performed in the two presidential elections he’s ran in.

In 2016 and 2020, pollsters did not predict Trump to win the election. Obviously in 2016, Donald Trump shocked the world by defeating Hillary Clinton, and the 2020 presidential race was very close with Joe Biden able to secure victory.

That being said, Harris knows she has to be sharp moving forward. She can’t afford any mistakes that could provide positive momentum for Trump and his campaign.

But that’s all wishful thinking at this point, as a newly surfaced video has come out that could absolutely ruin Kamala Harris’s campaign.

Kamala Harris Caught on Camera Protesting Deportations, Raising Questions About Current Border Policy

Newly surfaced footage shows Vice President Kamala Harris actively protesting against deportations of illegal immigrants during her time as a California senator. The video, first reported by Charlie Spiering of The Daily Mail, captures Harris at the Kingdom Day Parade in Los Angeles on January 15, 2018. In the video, Harris joins the crowd in chanting, “Up, up with education, down, down with deportation!” — an echo of her opposition to deporting illegal immigrants from the United States.

The release of this footage, shared on Spiering’s X account, offers a jarring comparison to the current immigration policies under the Biden administration, where Harris serves as Vice President. The administration has significantly reduced deportations, with the numbers dropping to historical lows.

In the 2023 fiscal year, U.S. Customs and Border Protection encountered more than 3.2 million illegal immigrants at the nation’s borders. However, only 142,580 were deported by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) during the same period. This means that individuals crossing the border illegally last year had just a 4.4 percent chance of being deported.

These numbers have sparked concern among critics, who argue that deportations remain a critical tool in managing illegal immigration.

Aaron Heitke, retired Chief Patrol Agent of the San Diego Sector, recently testified before the House Homeland Security Committee on the importance of deportations in controlling the border crisis.

“The only true consequence we have to slow down and discourage people from coming to the United States illegally is sending them back to their country of origin,” Heitke emphasized. He further argued that solutions to the current border issues exist and are not as costly as the ongoing situation, pointing to deportation as a vital part of the strategy.

Harris’s past positions on immigration, highlighted by the resurfaced footage, are in line with the views she expressed while running for the Democratic nomination for president in 2019. During her campaign, Harris questioned the mission of ICE and even called for the closure of most of the nation’s immigration detention centers, stating, “We’ll shut them down.”

In one of her more controversial proposals, Harris advocated for ending ICE’s authority to issue detainers on illegal immigrants.

Detainers are crucial tools that allow local law enforcement agencies to hold illegal immigrants in custody for ICE to take over, ensuring swift deportation. Experts have long argued that this tool is one of the most effective in enforcing immigration laws.

As Vice President, Harris’s influence on the administration’s immigration policies remains a topic of debate between conservatives and Leftists.

But if anything, the resurfaced video proves that Harris has and will always be weak on the illegal immigration crisis.
