The Left desperately wants President Trump impeached. They won’t stop until this is done.
And a plan to impeach Trump was leaked from this Democrat’s phone conversation.
In a recent telephone town hall, Colorado Democrat Rep. Brittany Pettersen let slip the ongoing obsession among her party to take down President Trump through impeachment. Speaking to thousands of her constituents, she painted a picture of determination to keep hammering away at the administration.
Pettersen’s office stated that close to 8,000 Coloradans tuned in for the call. The event focused on rallying against what she sees as threats from the Trump White House, especially on hot-button issues like border security and international alliances.
She didn’t hold back in slamming the president’s policies. “As Trump escalates attacks on Colorado and unlawfully withholds critical funding, sends ICE into our state to terrorize communities, and threatens our NATO allies abroad — I want people to know that we are here to support them in every way we can and they are not alone,” Pettersen declared during the session.
The congresswoman positioned herself as a frontline fighter against the administration’s agenda.
“I will continue to fight back against the cruelty and lawlessness of this Administration and also work to find common ground with my colleagues where I can. It is going to be a very tough road ahead but we are going to get through it together,” she added, trying to rally her base.
Things got interesting when questions rolled in from listeners. One participant directly asked if Pettersen planned to vote for impeaching President Donald Trump, cutting straight to the heart of the Democrats’ strategy.
Pettersen recalled her past actions, noting she backed a doomed effort to impeach the president back in December. That push came after Trump called out several Democrat legislators for what he termed “sedition,” a serious accusation with heavy consequences.
“Last month, I voted to advance Articles of Impeachment related to his call for members of Congress to be executed, and his abuse of power with regard to threats made toward federal judges,” Pettersen explained to the caller.
She admitted the attempt fell flat. “So that was what that focus was. Unfortunately, this vote failed and the article did not move forward,” she said, acknowledging the setback.
Even with that failure fresh in mind, Pettersen didn’t back down from the idea. She conceded that pulling off a successful impeachment looks like a long shot right now, saying “it is highly unlikely” to happen.
But then she revealed the Democrats’ game plan. “But we are building our case,” Pettersen stated, hinting at behind-the-scenes efforts to stack the deck against Trump.
She pointed to work happening in key committees. Democrats on the House Oversight Committee are “working on making sure that they’re building up their ability,” according to Pettersen, all aimed at figuring out the next steps.
The ultimate goal? To “ultimately move forward to impeach Trump,” as she put it, showing the party’s unwavering commitment to this pursuit.
This isn’t the first rodeo for impeachment fever in the House. Just last month, lawmakers shot down another try to oust the president, with a surprising twist.
In that vote, 23 Democrats actually crossed the aisle to join Republicans in k*lling the motion.
The effort was spearheaded by Rep. Al Green (D) from Texas, but it went nowhere.
Pettersen’s comments pull back the curtain on why Democrats can’t let go of this impeachment dream.
It’s become their go-to weapon against a president who’s shaken up Washington like never before, putting America first in ways that rattle the establishment.
