Presidential candidate is given alarming intel from the FBI

Running for office has its challenges. But this politician never expected their safety to be at risk.

And a presidential candidate is given alarming intel from the FBI.

Businessman Vivek Ramaswamy is a political outsider who has now entered the world of politics by running as a Republican candidate for president in 2024.

And as an outsider, Ramaswamy has been able to hold his own throughout the Republican primary process thus far.

While he still trails candidates like Donald Trump, Nikki Haley, and Ron DeSantis, Ramaswamy is still hitting the campaign trail hard, most recently in Iowa last Thursday.

There, he met with a retired FBI agent who agreed with him on his stance to shut down the FBI due to corruption.

“I met a former FBI agent and his wife on the campaign trail here in Iowa. They agree with me: we need to root out the corruption & shut down the FBI,” Ramaswamy said in a post to X.

“At the local level, we have police & prosecutors. At the federal level, we have U.S. marshals & the DOJ. An intermediary bureaucracy is rife with risk for politicized corruption & it’s been happening since J. Edgar Hoover in the 60s.”

The exchange, which can be seen in Ramaswamy’s X post, shows the ex-agent warning the Republican candidate to be careful in his endeavors to take down the FBI.

The gentleman can be heard saying “be careful,” and was not suggesting that Ramaswamy be politically careful.

“You mean ‘be careful’ be careful,” Ramaswamy replied back.

The retired FBI agent nodded in agreement and said, “Very careful.”

He went on to tell Ramaswamy that he used to work in counter-terrorism for the FBI and “was a cop before that.”

“You’re worried?” Ramaswamy asked the man, before asking what he should do moving forward in this situation.

“I’d get some very, very competent help, some very competent people to do intelligence work for you before you went places,” the retired agent responded.

“I appreciate that. We’ll take that seriously, man. We’re reading between the lines of what you’re saying and we gotcha,” Ramaswamy said.

Working to take down a bureau like the FBI has it’s political risks. But it looks like Ramaswamy has been warned that it poses a safety risk as well.
