All Democrats do is lie. It’s the only way they can get people to join their side.
But this radical Leftist congresswoman was put on blast for this outrageous lie.
Maxine Waters Denies Violence Amid Fiery Riots
Los Angeles has been gripped by four days and nights of intense unrest following Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids targeting lawbreakers, yet Democratic California Representative Maxine Waters insists the protests were free of violence. In an unhinged press conference on Tuesday, the 18-term congresswoman dismissed reports of destructive chaos as she criticized the Trump administration’s decision to deploy thousands of National Guard members and hundreds of active-duty Marines to restore order in the city.
“Nobody was shot, nobody was k*lled, get it into your head,” Waters declared to reporters, maintaining a straight face. “Don’t think that somehow because they called out the National Guard there was violence. There was no violence. I was on the street, I know,” she claimed, referencing her firsthand experience in areas like Paramount, Compton, and Inglewood.
“And I went from downtown detention back out into the community, what happened in Paramount, what happened in Compton, what happened in Inglewood. Get it straight, and don’t just rely on what you’re being told or the few incidents you saw.”

However, the reality on the ground paints a starkly different picture. Disturbing footage from Sunday captured a New York Post photographer being struck in the head by a rubber bullet while covering the protests. An Australian TV reporter and a New York Times journalist were also hit by rubber bullets during the riots. Early Tuesday, a man was found dead near a downtown looting site, though authorities are still investigating whether his death is connected to the chaos.
The worst of the violence has centered in Compton and Paramount. In Paramount, rioters threw rocks and Molotov cocktails at police, who responded with less-lethal measures like rubber bullets, smoke bombs, and pepper spray to control the crowds.
In Compton, a convenience store was ransacked by dozens of masked individuals who smashed windows, looted merchandise, raided the cash register, and even cut the cords to credit card terminals, stuffing them into plastic bags, as seen in shocking video footage.
The chaos extended to Los Angeles’ 101 Freeway, where at least 2,000 protesters brought traffic to a standstill. California Highway Patrol riot police funneled the crowd onto an exit ramp, but the freeway was shut down again after rioters began throwing bricks, scooters, and other objects at police vehicles.
Since Friday, nearly 60 rioters have been arrested, with the Department of Justice vowing to hold accountable those who attacked federal officers.
Waters’ claims align with a narrative pushed by some Democrats and left-leaning media outlets labeling the protests as “peaceful,” despite injured law enforcement officers and widespread destruction.
California Senator Alex Padilla, appearing on MSNBC, described the “vast majority” of protesters as peaceful, framing those who set cars ablaze and vandalized buildings as merely “passionate.”
New Jersey Senator Cory Booker, speaking on NBC’s Meet the Press, pointed the finger at President Trump, suggesting his actions were “sowing chaos” that fueled the protests.
Not all Democrats agree with this framing. Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman took to X on Monday evening to call out the violence directly.
“I unapologetically stand for free speech, peaceful demonstrations, and immigration—but this is not that,” he wrote. “This is anarchy and true chaos. My party loses the moral high ground when we refuse to condemn setting cars on fire, destroying buildings, and assaulting law enforcement.”
As Los Angeles grapples with the fallout of these riots, the stark contrast between official statements and the reality of burning streets, looted businesses, and injured journalists raises questions about how out of touch the Democrat Party really is.
