Taking away rights is a slap in the face to Americans. But this Governor has decided to take things a step further.
And this radical New Mexico Governor made an unthinkable statement after defying the Constitution.
Under the guise of a “public health order,” Democrat Governor of New Mexico, Michelle Lujan Grisham placed a temporary ban on open and concealed carrying guns in the city of Albuquerque.
Grisham faced loads of backlash, including from multiple anti-gun liberals, such as U.S. Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA).

Predictably, Grisham also received a firestorm from Republicans, including the Republican Party of New Mexico who used the circumstance to fundraise to help fund their efforts to fight back against Grisham.
“We’re filing a lawsuit against @GovMLG and the Secretary of Health for violating the rights of New Mexicans! America is not a totalitarian nation! We will not stand for the governor’s unconstitutional actions,” the party posted on social media, signifying their plan to sue Governor Grisham.

But Grisham’s response to all of the criticism was simply appalling.
“I’m still waiting on a thank-you note from the New Mexico GOP. Way to use my call to action around gun violence as a fundraiser instead of using it as an opportunity for immediate action to save New Mexican lives,” the Governor wrote on social media.
Grisham’s attack on the GOP in New Mexico is completely off-base and out of touch.
She criticizes them for not offering solutions to high crime rates in Albuquerque.
Yet her solution involves stripping the rights away from Americans who can no longer protect themselves from the crime that she cites as the reason for the ban she put in place.
The Republican Party of New Mexico doubled down and offered a rebuttal to Grisham’s insane statement of wanting a “thank you.”
“Thanks for the plug, @GovMLG. We’re taking you to court and holding you accountable for violating your oath of office, stepping on the rights of New Mexicans, and taking 4 years to acknowledge the violent crime that has exploded as a result of your administration only to pull a stunt to unarm law-abiding New Mexicans.”

The New Mexico GOP then included a fundraising link in the social media post, just to combat Grisham even more.
It’s best the New Mexico Governor keeps a low profile until she restores Second Amendment rights to her constituents.
Otherwise, she’ll continue to receive even more backlash that will likely put the final nail in the coffin of her dismal political career.
