A Kamala Harris presidency would be a disaster. The entire country would be affected by her radical policies

And a Republican governor has issued an ominous warning about the fate of his state if Harris wins the election.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott Calls for Urgent Border Action, Warns Against Kamala Harris Presidency

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has revealed that the state has spent an astounding $10 billion on border security efforts—a financial burden he says Texas cannot continue to bear without federal support. In an exclusive interview with the New York Post, Abbott shared his concerns that if Vice President Kamala Harris is elected, the border crisis will persist, exacerbating the already chaotic situation.

Abbott highlighted his frustrations with the vice president, citing her refusal to collaborate on securing the Texas border. “She’s refused to step up,” he said, pointing out that Harris had been tasked by President Biden with managing the flow of illegal immigration but has made little effort to visit Texas’ border regions.

“She never has ever even responded,” Abbott stated, referring to multiple invitations he extended to Harris for a firsthand tour of the Texas-Mexico border.

Since the launch of Texas’ “Operation Lone Star” in 2021, Abbott’s border security initiative has led to more than 500,000 migrant apprehensions, 46,000 criminal arrests, and the seizure of over 521 million lethal doses of fentanyl, according to state authorities.

His administration has also sent over 119,000 migrants to sanctuary cities, with New York City receiving more than 45,900 migrants in just two years.

Despite these efforts, Abbott insists that Texas cannot continue to shoulder the financial burden. “Texas has stepped up in such a prolific way, coming out of Texas taxpayer pockets by far more than $10 billion of our own money to pay for border security to deal with the refusal of the Biden-Harris administration to secure the border,” Abbott explained. “We cannot go through another four years of that.”

Abbott’s comments came as the Biden-Harris administration reported some progress on border control, with illegal migrant crossings slowing in recent months due to new restrictions on asylum access.

August saw approximately 58,000 migrant encounters at the border, down from a high of 250,000 in December. However, Abbott remains unconvinced by these efforts, noting that the administration has allowed 1.3 million migrants to either fly directly into the U.S. or enter the country using a phone app.

Vice President Harris, who has only visited the border twice during her tenure, has faced criticism for her handling of the issue. Her most recent visit took place in the remote town of Douglas, Arizona, as part of a campaign stop.

Abbott criticized these visits as insufficient and symbolic, recalling that during her 2021 trip to El Paso, border agents were instructed to clear the area of migrants and sanitize the streets, masking the severity of the situation.

Despite inviting Harris multiple times to witness the challenges at the Texas border, Abbott said he has yet to receive any response.

“There have actually been no conversations despite the invitations,” he said. “She has ignored the primary responsibility given to her by President Biden to do something about the illegal immigration process.”

On the campaign trail, Harris has often referenced her experience as a prosecutor in California, claiming she targeted drug cartels during her time as the state’s attorney general and as San Francisco’s district attorney. However, Abbott remains skeptical of her ability to address border security effectively if elected.

“There’s no way America can remain the country that we are if we have four more years of Kamala Harris,” Abbott warned.

“This is a line-in-the-sand moment when Americans must realize that our country and our future are at stake because of the illegal immigration policies that are allowed by Kamala Harris.”

Abbott concluded his remarks by urging voters to elect former President Donald Trump, saying, “We have to shut down the border, and that starts with electing Donald Trump as president.”
