RINO puts a knife in the back of the Republican Party by making this shocking endorsement

The GOP is seething right now. This is the last thing they needed before election day.

And this RINO put a knife in the back of the Republican Party by making this shocking endorsement.

In a move that sent shockwaves through the political landscape, former Wyoming GOP Representative Liz Cheney announced her endorsement of Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris on Wednesday.

The announcement, made during a speech at Duke University in North Carolina, marked a stark departure from her previous critiques of Harris and ignited fiery responses from prominent Republicans.

“I don’t believe we have the luxury of writing in candidates’ names, particularly in swing states,” Cheney stated, explaining her rationale for the endorsement. She went on to express her concerns about the future of the country under Donald Trump’s leadership.

“And as a conservative, as someone who believes in and cares about the Constitution, I have thought deeply about this, and because of the danger that Donald Trump poses, not only am I not voting for Donald Trump, but I will be voting for Kamala Harris.”

Cheney’s stance is the culmination of her years-long opposition to Trump, a position that cost her her congressional seat.

After spearheading efforts to impeach the former president, Cheney lost re-election, but her warnings about Trump continued. In a 2023 CBS interview, she described the country as “sleepwalking into dictatorship” under Trump’s influence, emphasizing the gravity of the situation in her view.

The endorsement is even more surprising given Cheney’s prior criticisms of Harris. In a Fox News interview, she once labeled the vice president “to the left of Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren.”

Additionally, a resurfaced 2020 post from Cheney’s social media captured her sharp rebuke of Harris as a “radical liberal.”

“Kamala Harris is a radical liberal who would raise taxes, take away guns & health insurance, and explode the size and power of the federal gov’t. She wants to recreate America in the image of what’s happening on the streets of Portland & Seattle. We won’t give her the chance,” Cheney had posted on X, formerly Twitter, in 2020. This earlier stance starkly contrasts her recent endorsement, illustrating Cheney’s shift in priorities as she aligns herself with Harris to oppose Trump.

The endorsement was met with fierce criticism from fellow Republicans, including Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH), who is running as the vice-presidential candidate on Trump’s ticket. Speaking at a Turning Point USA event in Arizona, Vance did not mince words in his rebuke of Cheney.

“The next presidency of Donald Trump will make sure people like Liz Cheney are laughed out of the Oval Office instead of rewarded,” Vance said. He criticized Cheney for her foreign policy decisions, accusing her of prioritizing military interventions at the expense of American lives. “This is a person whose entire career has been about sending other people’s children to fight and die for her military conflicts and her ridiculous ideas that somehow we were going to turn Afghanistan into a thriving liberal democracy and for that, Liz Cheney was willing to kill thousands of her children.”

Vance also took aim at Cheney’s new alignment with Harris, framing it as a partnership of self-interest. “Kamala Harris and Liz Cheney make interesting partners,” he said. “They get rich when America’s sons and daughters go off to die. They get rich when America loses wars instead of wins wars. They get rich when America gets weaker in the world.”

Whether Liz Cheney’s bold stance will influence other conservatives remains to be seen, but it is clear that she remains unwavering in her insane belief that Trump represents a significant threat to the future of the country. That’s of course ann over-used talking point that she’s adopted from Leftists.

And at this point she might as well just declare herself one because her recent actions and decisions aren’t one that a self-professed conservative would make.
