Secret Service on high alert after this threat to President Biden is discovered

The president took a risk the day he recited the oath of office. But this is something he never thought could happen.

And the Secret Service is on high alert after this threat to President Biden is discovered.

A recent report from The New York Times details how Joe Biden is using the short stairs almost every time to board Air Force One.

This started becoming standard operating procedure for Biden ever since he tripped over a sandbag at the U.S. Air Force Academy during a graduation ceremony last year.

But as of late, the Secret Service has put agents at the bottom of the stairs to make sure that the 81-year-old president doesn’t fall and injure or humiliate himself.

“Even the way Mr. Biden walks to the presidential aircraft is subject to careful management. The president started taking a short flight of stairs directly into the belly of Air Force One, rather than a tall stairway wheeled up to a higher point on the plane, after he tripped and fell over a sandbag during a commencement ceremony this past summer,” the NYT’s report said.

“Now, there is a Secret Service agent positioned at the bottom of the stairs when he disembarks.”

The NYT also details how the White House is working to keep Biden protected in other ways.

For example, staffers in the White House will give the president a cheat sheet to help him know who to call on during a press conference.

They’ll also turn music on at the end of events or press conferences so Biden isn’t able to hear or respond to any questions that are called out to him by reporters.

The Biden/Harris campaign originally ran on a promise that they would be open and transparent with the American people.

But the NYT article basically says that’s been the opposite of the case.

The publication notes that “some of Mr. Biden’s key aides have gone from letting ‘Joe be Joe’ to wrapping a presidential cocoon around him that is intended to shield him from verbal slips and physical stumbles.”

Reports like the one from the Times, do nothing to ease the concerns of U.S. citizens that Joe Biden is mentally and physically fit to serve as president.

He’s already the oldest president to have every served and if he wins a second term, he’ll be 86 years old at the end of it.

And the fact that he can’t even navigate stairs to climb aboard Air Force One, is incredibly worrisome for a man who’s the commander-in-chief of the U.S. Military.

This is not to say that former President Donald Trump – who’s 77 – is a spring chicken.

But at the same time, he can properly put together thoughts and sentences without sounding like a babbling old man, like the current president.

He’s also able to simply climb stairs without Secret Service protection, something that Biden can’t even do.
