Sure, the text of the documents remains the same, but it’s how it is applied – or circumvented – by the government and liberal organizations that is the problem.
One of the biggest offenders has been Big Tech social media giants that have waged a secret war against conservative voices and opinions.
While Twitter has fallen into the hands of free-speech-supporting billionaire Elon Musk, Facebook and Instagram are a far different story.
And Meta, the company behind both, made a shock announcement that should concern every freedom-loving American.
Mark Zuckerberg has moved a former CIA agent who worked on Facebook’s “misinformation” team to the role of head of “elections policies” at Meta, Facebook’s parent company.
Prior to his promotion, Aaron Berman, a 17-year CIA veteran, was in control of a team that decided what would be categorized as “misinformation” on Facebook during the 2020 presidential election, according to Breitbart News.
Berman joined Facebook as a senior product policy manager for “misinformation” in 2019, where he “built the misinformation policy team’s US workforce and put policies into practice during critical events,” according to the site.
According to Berman’s LinkedIn profile, where he listed his previous work as “Senior Product Policy Manager, Misinformation,” one of his key responsibilities on the job was to battle disinformation during “critical events.”
While Berman does not specify which critical events he was referring to, his employment timeline coincides with Facebook’s censorship during the 2020 presidential election, when conservative politicians, publications, and commentators were either banned or labeled as “misinformation.”
His LinkedIn page says that he became Head of Elections Policies at Meta in May.
Berman’s new position will consist of “Leading a team responsible for elections-related content policies worldwide.
Overseeing policy development, advises senior executives, coordinates with teams on implementation via technical and human workflows, and representing Meta with external stakeholders.”
He goes on to say that he will “put policies into practice on key elections.”
It was discovered in September that the Biden administration held weekly censorship sessions with social media titans to combat covid and vaccine “misinformation,” which included Meta.
In July 2021, President Joe Biden claimed that Facebook was “killing people.”
After that remark, Meta contacted the Surgeon General to “engage in damage control and appease the President’s wrath,” according to the NCLA.
A Meta executive reported back to the government, saying “I wanted to make sure you saw the steps we took just this past week to adjust policies on what we are removing with respect to misinformation, as well as steps taken to further address the ‘disinfo dozen’: we removed 17 additional Pages, Groups, and Instagram accounts tied to the disinfo dozen….”
According to emails, the information that was withheld included vaccine refusal, and military personnel were specifically targeted.
“Vaccine refusal appeared in two main contexts in highly engaged posts – military refusals and consequences (often employment-related) for refusing the vaccine.”
Having the DC Swamp meddling in the free flow of information online can never lead to good things.
