AOC has fashioned herself as the new blood of the Democrat Party – destined to take up the gauntlet. But all of it is crashing down around her.
And this national embarrassment could end Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s career overnight.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been steadily pushing the Democrats further and further to the Left.
Her radical plan for America included abortion-on-demand through all nine months of a pregnancy, destroying the energy sector with her hair-brained “Green New Deal,” and pushing divisive critical race theory.
From her echo chamber in Washington, D.C., Ocasio-Cortez was sure Americans were all on board with her Leftist schemes.
That’s why she recently decided to make a documentary highlighting the supposed end of the world pushed by radical climate activists.
But the release of her propaganda film was followed by little fanfare and endless mockery.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s new documentary about climate activists has bombed in theaters, grossing only $80 per theater on opening weekend.
The documentary, titled “To The End,” was launched on December 9 and grossed $9,667 across all theaters in the United States on its first weekend, according to Box Office Mojo ticket receipt statistics.
The film was released at 120 theaters across the country, with each theater earning an average of $80.
“Filmed over four years of hope and crisis, To the End captures the emergence of a new generation of leaders and the movement behind the most sweeping climate change legislation in US history,” according to a description on the film’s website.
“The award-winning team behind Knock Down the House follows four exceptional young women— Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, activist Varshini Prakash, climate policy writer Rhiana Gunn-Wright, and political strategist Alexandra Rojas— as they grapple with new challenges of leadership and power and work together to defend their generation’s right to a future.
“From street protests to the corridors of Congress, these daring leaders strive to transform the narrative around climate, showing the crisis as a chance to build a better society. Including up-to-the-minute footage that culminates in 2022’s landmark climate bill, To the End lifts the veil on the battle for the future of our world, and gives audiences a front-seat view of history in the making.”
“Fighting for change politically requires faith,” Ocasio-Cortez said in a trailer for the film, calling the “moonshot for our generation.”
On Rotten Tomatoes, the film currently has an 88 percent “fresh” reviewer score, but no audience score.
The documentary is the latest from director Rachel Lears, who also made the 2019 film “Knock Down the House,” which focused on Ocasio-Cortez during the 2018 midterm elections.
This film garnered a 99 percent “fresh” score from reviewers on Rotten Tomatoes, but received just an 11 percent audience score.
According to one audience member, the prior film was a “knocked down drag out snooze fest.”
“I feel like I must have watched a completely different movie than the ones [the critics] watched,” one spectator stated. “It was extremely bad, and it actually made me loathe Alexandria Cortez when it was all done. I now see the audience score and I would say it is much more accurate compared to the critics.”
