This RINO was rocked to his core after being blindsided by Donald Trump

Trump has no patience for fake Republicans. You either support him or you don’t.

And this RINO was rocked to his core after being blindsided by Donald Trump.

At a rally in Kinston, North Carolina, former President Donald Trump launched fresh criticism at Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., despite McConnell’s earlier endorsement of Trump for the 2024 presidential race.

Trump didn’t hold back, referring to McConnell as a “disgrace” and expressing frustration over the Kentucky senator’s role in recent legislative decisions.

“Hopefully we get rid of Mitch McConnell pretty soon ‘cause he helped them, that guy,” Trump said, alluding to what he sees as McConnell’s support for initiatives put forth by President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ administration.

The remark is just one in a long line of pointed criticisms the former president has leveled at McConnell.

Earlier this year, McConnell, the longest-serving party leader in Senate history, announced that he would not pursue the role of Senate leader beyond the 2024 elections.

Despite their strained relationship, McConnell had extended his endorsement to Trump in March, recognizing the former president’s strong support among the Republican base.

“It is abundantly clear that former President Trump has earned the requisite support of Republican voters to be our nominee for President of the United States,” McConnell said at the time, though the move surprised some given the public tension between the two.

On Sunday, Trump voiced surprise over McConnell’s backing, questioning why the senator, who he claims often disagreed with him, would offer his endorsement at all.

“Can you believe he endorsed me?” Trump asked the North Carolina crowd. “Boy, that must have been a painful day in his life.”

Trump continued, “Every time I think of it, he didn’t have to do that.” He went on to accuse McConnell of making decisions he didn’t support in Congress, claiming, “He provided the necessary votes…What a disgrace.”

The strained dynamic between Trump and McConnell has been well-documented, and further insights into McConnell’s private thoughts about Trump recently came to light in the book The Price of Power by Michael Tackett, the Associated Press’ deputy Washington bureau chief.

In the book, Tackett reveals that McConnell referred to Trump with terms like “sleazeball,” “stupid,” “erratic,” “a despicable human being,” and “a narcissist.”

Meanwhile, Republicans are gearing up for a change in leadership, with a secret ballot scheduled for November 13—just after the general elections.

Among the candidates looking to succeed McConnell are Senate Minority Whip John Thune, R-S.D., along with Sens. John Cornyn, R-Texas, and Rick Scott, R-Fla.

But whoever becomes the next leader, it’s the Republicans hope that they are much less of a RINO (Republican In Name Only) than Sen. McConnell.

Conservatives don’t have time for their next Senate leader to make deals with radical Leftist in Congress.

And this will especially be the case if Donald Trump wins the election.
