The Left has a hard time connecting with everyday U.S. citizens. In fact, it’s almost as if they dislike them completely.
And a top Democrat governor spits in the face of millions of Americans by calling them this one name.
Former President Donald Trump made headlines after hosting a massive rally in the Bronx, a deep blue borough of New York City.
The rally featured great enthusiasm from thousands of Trump supporters, while at the same time angering Leftists who watched it unfold.
One such Leftist was New York Governor Kathy Hochul, who ranted about the rally during an appearance on CNN on Thursday.
“Well, I’ll tell you what won’t make a difference at all, Jake, and that’s for Donald Trump to be a ringleader and invite all his clowns to a place like the Bronx,” Hochul said to CNN host Jake Tapper.
“New York will never, ever support Donald Trump for president. We know him better than anyone and that means we understand what he’s all about. He’s just for himself.”
“So, this state will go solidly behind Joe Biden for president as it has in the past. So, if he wants to spend his time doing these made-up, fake rallies and pretending there’s support here, be my guest, because while you’re doing that, Donald Trump, Joe Biden’s out there on the other side making sure he’s delivering for all Americans.”

Donald Trump is making an effort to try and do the unthinkable by flipping New York red this November.
And while highly attended rallies aren’t necessarily an indicator on who will win the presidential election, it’s rather encouraging for Trump and his campaign to see so many people attend his Thursday rally in the Bronx.
The rally also clearly upset Gov. Hochul who resorted to calling Trump supporters “clowns.” Perhaps she’s just nervous that the former president is making a play for her state.
Donald Trump’s campaign did fire back at Hochul through a statement delivered to Fox News Digital which said, “Kathy Hocul [sic] is just upset that President Trump is pulling crowds in her state that she could only dream of; and Democrats are in disarray because Americans, including Hispanics and Blacks, are waking up to the fact that Joe Biden and the Democrat Party have been using them for votes and ripping them off for decades.”
In 2020, President Joe Biden won New York by getting 60.8% of the vote.
According to a new Siena College poll, Biden’s chances of winning the Empire State by that same margin are slim. The poll shows that he only has a 9-point lead over Trump.
The director of communications for the New York GOP, David Laska, blasted Hochul in a statement of his own to Fox News Digital.
“It’s time for Governor Hochul to apologize to the hardworking citizens she continues to alienate with her elitist, offensive rhetoric,” part of Laska’s statement said.
“The people of New York deserve a leader who respects their diversity of thought and beliefs and who is committed to working for everyone, not just those who align with her political views.”
It looks like Kathy Hochul channeled her inner Hillary Clinton (who in 2016 referred to Trump supporters as a basket of deplorables), by insulting millions of Americans with an asisine comment.
