Top Republican targeted in devastating attack

You can’t get very far in politics without making a few enemies. But this goes beyond the normal name-calling.

And this top Republican was targeted in a devastating attack.

One of the major tactics of Democrats and their allies in corporations nationwide is to gum up their opponents with frivolous lawsuits.

Just look at Donald Trump who was indicted by New York Attorney General Alvin Bragg.

The DA has only charged Trump with covering up a crime without telling Americans what exactly the crime he committed is.

Now another major Republican is tasting the ire of the radical Left’s lawsuit machine.

The Walt Disney Company is continuing its fight on Florida, suing Gov. Ron DeSantis and accusing him of launching a “targeted campaign of government retaliation.”

Disney filed the complaint in federal court on Wednesday, as the two sides continue to fight for control of Orlando’s Reedy Creek special district.

Florida suspended Disney’s self-government rights in the district last year after the company began a political battle with DeSantis over the state’s anti-grooming Parental Rights in Education Act, dubbed “Don’t Say Gay.”

The law forbids indoctrination of students in radical gender ideology, including transgenderism and other types of sexual ideology, in public schools.

In the midst of the protracted legal battle, Disney claims DeSantis has undertaken a “relentless campaign to weaponize government power” against the firm.

It also claims that the Republican governor “orchestrated at every step” a campaign to punish Disney in ways that jeopardize the company’s operations.

The complaint was filed on the same day as DeSantis’ latest countermove against Disney, which tried to overturn a development agreement Disney made in order to retain control of the area.

In addition to DeSantis, the action names the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District board and Meredith Ivey, acting secretary of the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity.

Disney recently organized a “Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite” for children at its California location in an act of defiance to DeSantis.

The lawsuit is likely to fall flat on its face.

And as the Left shows it’s uncanny desire to expose children to “Pride,” this will likely only increase DeSantis’ popularity among conservative voters.

This bodes well for a possible Ron DeSantis bid for the 2024 Republican presidential candidacy.

But seeing as he hasn’t announced his intention to run yet, we’ll just have to wait and see.
