The Trump White House is always fighting back against the fake news media. It’s a daily occurrence at this point.
And Trump’s Press Secretary has this Leftist reporter in shambles by making a scathing critique.
In the latest showdown between the Trump administration and the fake news media, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt didn’t hold back when she blasted Huffington Post’s S.V. Dáte as a total fraud.
This fiery exchange erupted after Dáte penned a hit piece mocking her sharp comeback to one of his loaded questions. Leavitt took to X to set the record straight, exposing the so-called journalist for what he really is.
Leavitt’s post on X pulled no punches: “S.V. Dáte of the Huffington Post is not a journalist interested in the facts. He is a left-wing hack who has consistently attacked President Trump for years and constantly bombards my phone with Democrat talking points.” She backed it up by sharing screenshots of their text exchange, highlighting the absurdity of his antics.
To drive her point home, Leavitt added: “Activists who masquerade as real reporters do a disservice to the profession.”
The whole mess started over a question about President Donald Trump’s planned meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Budapest. Dáte, ever the provocateur, tried to stir up drama by tying it to some historical footnote.
In his message to Leavitt, Dáte wrote: “Is the president aware of the significance of Budapest? In 1994, Russia promised, in Budapest, not to invade Ukraine if it gave up the nuclear weapons it inherited when the Soviet Union dissolved. Does he not see why Ukraine might object to that site? Who suggested Budapest?”
Leavitt wasn’t buying into the trap. Her response cut right through the nonsense: “Your mom did.” Classic Leavitt—straightforward and unapologetic in the face of biased grilling.
Dáte, apparently shocked that someone would push back, followed up by asking if she found his question “funny.” Leavitt fired back without missing a beat: “Stop texting me your disingenuous, biased, and bulls— questions.”
She didn’t stop there. Leavitt pointed to Dáte’s own X profile as exhibit A, saying it “reads like an anti-Trump personal diary.” And she’s spot on—scroll through it, and it’s nothing but endless rants against the president.
Dáte doesn’t even pretend to be neutral. His bio brags about his latest book that “captures Trump’s failed management of the coronavirus pandemic and his corruption of the Republican Party.” If that’s not a red flag for agenda-driven reporting, what is?
On social media, Dáte regularly unleashes attacks on the Trump White House, proving he’s more activist than reporter. This guy’s been grinding his axe against conservatives for years, and now he’s whining when called out.
In his snarky article, Dáte tried to play the victim, sarcastically claiming that HuffPost was now “devastated” by Leavitt’s retort and felt “fearful of asking any more questions.” He even sneered that her responses were “your tax dollars at work.”
Adding fuel to the fire, an X user exposed Dáte’s blatant bias with a screenshot from 2023. In that post, Dáte declared: “As a journalist, it’s not my job to tell you who to vote for. As a journalist, it IS my job to warn you that if we vote Donald Trump back into office, it may be the last vote we ever cast.”
Meanwhile, the real story here is the upcoming summit in Budapest, hosted by Hungary’s leader, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. It’s a bold move by President Trump to tackle global issues head-on, without kowtowing to the establishment’s endless Ukraine obsession.
Leavitt’s stand against Dáte shows why she’s the perfect fit for this administration—tough, witty, and unafraid to defend America First principles. In a sea of left-wing media sharks, she’s the one keeping them at bay.
This incident exposes the rot in mainstream outlets like Huffington Post, where hacks like Dáte push Democrat narratives under the guise of news.
Patriots everywhere are cheering Leavitt on, because someone’s fighting back against the lies.
