For a while now, people have asserted that President Biden isn’t really running the show. But now we may finally have a real answer concerning those assertions.
As Vance has made an alarming claim about Harris’ true role in the White House that’s left jaws on the floor.
Sen. JD Vance Says Vice President Kamala Harris Is Responsible For Biden Administration’s Failures
Senator JD Vance laid responsibility for the Biden administration’s shortcomings squarely on Vice President Kamala Harris during a speech at Liberty High School in Nevada on Tuesday.
Speaking to an enthusiastic crowd of several thousand, the GOP vice presidential nominee argued that Harris has been the primary decision-maker in the current administration due to President Biden’s alleged cognitive decline.
“Kamala Harris owns every failure of the Biden administration over the last four years,” Vance declared, asserting that the 81-year-old president “didn’t know what was going on.”
He suggested that Harris, 59, was the one “calling the shots,” given Biden’s condition.
Vance accused Harris, who is expected to secure the Democratic nomination for president next week, of being accountable for issues such as the crisis at the southern border and record-high inflation.
He urged Nevadans to vote for former President Donald Trump in November to “take our country back,” emphasizing that inflation and immigration are top concerns for voters.
The Trump VP pick also accused Harris of helping to “cover-up” Biden’s “declining mental capacity for years,” calling this the “worst of all” her “faults.”
He contended that anyone who fails to acknowledge Biden’s incompetence is “not fit to serve as commander in chief of this country.”
Vance made these remarks during two stops in the key swing state of Nevada, first addressing supporters in Henderson and later in Reno.
During the Reno rally, a microphone malfunction prompted Vance to say, “I’ve been told this is an American-made microphone,” drawing laughter as he was handed a new mic.
He also criticized Harris for being “dangerously liberal,” referencing her tenure as the “most liberal senator in the entire US.”
Vance asserted, “She will never be the president of the United States because we’re not going to let her.” He added a lighthearted note, saying he wouldn’t bring his wife, Usha Vance, on stage to avoid “sleeping on the couch.”
A recent Redfield & Wilton Strategies poll showed Trump leading Harris in Nevada by 2 percentage points, a state that narrowly went for Biden in the 2020 election.
The Silver State’s electoral significance was emphasized by the large turnout for Vance’s speech, contrasting with the typically smaller Democratic events in the area.
Among the crowd, opinions varied. Karie Harwood dismissed Democratic criticisms of Vance’s past “childless cat lady” remarks as “garbage,” believing that his words were misunderstood.
Retiree Patricia Robertson expressed admiration for Vance, calling him “a good guy,” while physicist Wayne Moore predicted a victory for the GOP ticket, describing the movement as “so strong that I don’t think there’s any way it can be overcome.”
Despite Trump’s absence, the former president’s supporters braved 95-degree heat to attend the rally, which shows their dedication to the Republican ticket.
