What Biden just said about children will leave you utterly speechless

Joe Biden’s been known to make creepy comments in the past. But this might be the worst thing he’s said yet.

And what Biden just said about children will leave you utterly speechless.

At an event in the White House’s East Room honoring Gotham FC, the 2023 National Women’s Soccer League champions, President Biden made a candid remark that raised some eyebrows.

During his speech, Biden, 81, acknowledged that his aides often restrict his actions, yet he expressed a desire to push forward regardless.

“You know, I thought when I got to be president, I’d get to do things that I want to do. But my staff tells me what I can’t do,” the president said while walking into the event hand-in-hand with soccer star Ali Krieger, 40.

Without skipping a beat, he added, “But I’m going to do it anyway.” He then invited a group of young girls attending the event to join him on stage. “All the young women, young kids out there — that are out there, come on up and do this one. Stand behind me, would do. Just come on,” Biden encouraged.

It took a brief moment before he remembered to invite boys, adding, “and the guys,” shortly after. While some of his comments to the children were inaudible, he was clearly heard asking several for their names.

The event, meant to celebrate the achievements of the women’s soccer team, took an interesting turn as Biden made this personal admission.

The president didn’t explain why his staff advised against such interactions, but his history of close and, at times, uncomfortable physical contact with people, particularly women and children, has been a topic of scrutiny.

His opponents, especially Republicans, have frequently shared footage of Biden engaging in behavior they consider overly familiar, even dubbing him “Creepy Joe.” These incidents often involved Biden standing too close or touching people in ways that raised concerns.

In response to these criticisms, Biden pledged in 2019 to be more conscious of personal boundaries. Since becoming president, he has reduced such awkward moments compared to his time as vice president under Barack Obama.

With his presidency nearing its final stages and rumors swirling about his political future, Biden seems increasingly inclined to go his own way. After facing mounting pressure from within his party about his fitness for a second term, Biden stepped back from pursuing the Democratic nomination.

Nevertheless, the president has vowed to finish his current term strong, although his recent activities, including numerous vacations and moments where others, like First Lady Jill Biden, have taken the spotlight in public engagements, suggest a more subdued approach to leadership.

And hopefully with this subdued approach, President Biden is in a position where he’s not allowed to make odd and inappropriate comments towards young children.
