The new Trump admin is full of “no funny games” talent. They are taking no excuses anymore.

And the White House Press Secretary has gone on Fox News to put the entire Democrat Party on notice.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt Criticizes Democrats’ Opposition to DOGE and Elon Musk

On Monday, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt sharply criticized Democrats who have been attempting to push back against the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), calling their actions “completely out of touch” with what voters truly want. Leavitt’s comments came during an appearance on Fox News’ Hannity as Democrats ramped up their resistance to the agency’s work and Elon Musk’s involvement.

Democratic leaders, including California Rep. Maxine Waters and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, have voiced strong objections against the DOGE initiative, which has focused on cleaning up waste and inefficiency in government agencies. The protests throughout the week of February 3 were largely aimed at the agency’s efforts to tackle Musk’s involvement with former President Donald Trump’s administration and its broader mandate to address what it describes as government waste.

When Hannity host Sean Hannity asked Leavitt about her response to the criticism from Democrats like Waters and Warren, the press secretary made it clear that their concerns were out of step with the priorities of the American public. She pointed to the results of the November 5 elections, arguing that the Democrats had failed to learn from their defeat.

“I would love to, Sean. Clearly the Democrats learned nothing from their devastating defeat on November 5 because this is exactly what the American people voted for,” Leavitt said. “President Trump campaigned alongside Elon Musk, and President Trump promised voters on the campaign that he was going to make our government more efficient.”

Leavitt continued, highlighting that the initiative for DOGE came directly from Trump, who vowed to combat waste, fraud, and abuse within the federal government. According to her, this was exactly what voters expected and what Trump promised during his campaign.

“He came up with the idea of DOGE, and he told everybody in the world he would be appointing Elon Musk to cut through the waste, fraud and abuse that has plagued our federal government for far too long and has ripped off hard-working taxpayers,” Leavitt explained. “I think it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anybody that that’s what Elon is doing at the direction of President Trump. The only surprise here is the vast amount of waste, fraud and abuse that we have uncovered, and we are just getting started.”

Musk himself added fuel to the fire during an X space discussion, revealing that he and President Trump had agreed to dismantle the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), placing it under the leadership of Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Reports have suggested that billions of taxpayer dollars were being squandered by the agency on international programs, some of which engaged in left-wing social engineering efforts abroad. Despite Democrats’ claims that this move was illegal, the protests continued, with some even calling for drastic action. On February 3, Democratic Rep. LaMonica McIver of New Jersey was seen protesting outside the Department of Treasury, declaring that the Senate should be “shut down” and that the country was “at war.”

Leavitt did not hold back in her response to these criticisms, doubling down on her position that Democrats were disconnected from the electorate. She pointed to recent polling data as evidence that the public broadly supported the direction in which the Trump administration was heading, especially on issues like foreign aid reform.

“The Democrats are so incredibly out of touch. If you look at the public polling, 56% of the public supports President Trump’s freeze on foreign aid,” Leavitt stated. “The most recent CBS poll shows that the vast majority of Americans support what President Trump is doing.”

Leavitt’s remarks also targeted what she saw as a lack of substance in the Democrats’ arguments, suggesting that their protests were fueled by fear-mongering and a lack of a clear message.

“So while the Democrats continue to hoot and holler in the streets, acting completely deranged, President Trump and Elon Musk and our entire administration are going to continue to go line by line and treat this federal government like a business,” Leavitt said. “What do we actually need to spend money on to advance America’s interests? That is our goal here. That’s all that’s happening. Anything else is fear-mongering by the left because they don’t have a real message, and they’re deranged. There’s no other way to put it.”

Recent polling data released by CBS News further solidified Leavitt’s argument. A new poll from Sunday revealed that Trump’s approval rating had reached 53%, his highest yet. Moreover, 70% of Americans believed he was staying true to his campaign promises. The survey also showed that 49% of respondents felt Trump was doing more than they had expected in his early weeks in office, with only 9% of respondents indicating that he was doing less than expected.
