The legacy media outlet is no doubt biased towards Democrats. But now the Left is going to want to distance themselves from the news network.
And CNN is in shambles after being caught making this massive mistake.
Last Wednesday, Maine suffered an unthinkable tragedy after 22 people were killed by a deranged gunman in Lewistown.
At the time of this article being written, the shooter is still at large.
Democrat politicians and media outlets used the tragedy to spout off gun-control and anti-Second Amendment nonsense.
CNN, unsurprisingly was one of those media outlets.
After the shooting, they claimed that according to the Gun Violence Archive (GVA), there has now been 525 “mass shootings” this calendar year.
However, according to Breitbart News, the definition of a mass shooting from the GVA has been changed to include “drive-by incidents, double or triple homicides, gang violence, and other related crimes…leading to skewed data.”
In fact, mass shootings according to the GVA, are a “minimum of four victims shot, either injured or killed, not including any shooter who may also have been killed or injured in the incident.”
CNN likely knew what it was doing when it misled the public on the number of mass shootings in America.
They wanted people to think that over 500 times this year, dozens of people have been killed in a mass shooting, when that clearly isn’t the case.
Their anti-gun and Second Amendment propaganda ended up going up in flames after they interviewed a local Lewistown resident after the shooting, however.
“In a situation like this, I wish I had a firearm,” the resident said to CNN.
He also noted that he feels “a million times better” knowing that the police are equipped with guns.
No one wanted this tragedy to occur in Maine. But it is heartwarming to see CNN get put in their place when it comes to pushing for the freedoms of Americans to be taken away.
But even though the Leftist media outlet got embarrassed, that won’t stop them or Democrats in general from pushing for more gun control.
After the deadly shooting in Maine, Vice President Kamala Harris called for more restrictions on the Second Amendment.
“It is a false choice to suggest we must choose between either upholding the Second Amendment or passing reasonable gun safety laws to save lives.”
The radical Left is going to do everything in its power to take away the rights of United States citizens. And they’re going to lie through their teeth to accomplish that goal.
