The former president has been hit with multiple indictments this past year. The Left won’t sleep until he’s locked away for good.
And Trump is blindsided after receiving a catastrophic update about his prison sentence.
Democrats are hoping that the pieces will fall in place for former President Donald Trump to go to prison.
Trump is currently facing four criminal indictments. Two of those indictments center around his alleged attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 election.
Republicans, including Trump himself, believe that he is innocent of the charges he’s received.
GOP presidential candidates, Nikki Haley, Ron DeSantis, and Vivek Ramaswamy have all pledged to pardon Trump if they were elected as president.
One Republican candidate however is firmly against that idea.
During an appearance on “The View,” former New Jersey Governor and presidential candidate Chris Christie was not shy when asked by the Leftist hosts if he would pardon Trump.
“No…The person has to accept responsibility for what they did…It would be the easiest pardon decision I would ever have to make as president,” Christie said in his answer.
“You don’t accept responsibility – too bad, go to jail.”

If the former governor expects to win any votes in his effort to secure the Republican nomination, appearing on The View and catering to their viewers and hosts who are mostly Democrats, will not get the job done.
Not only that, but proudly saying he won’t pardon Trump when many other Republicans have said they will, will also decrease his chances at earning votes.
Christie has also announced recently that he won’t vote for Trump in November if the former president ends up winning the party’s nomination.
His refusal on this matter breaks the “Beat Biden Pledge” that he signed, which was created by the Republican National Convention.
The pledge states, “I affirm that if I do not win the 2024 Republican nomination for President of the United States, I will honor the will of the primary voters and support the Republican presidential nominee in order to save our country and beat Joe Biden.”
It seems like the only platform Christie has been running on, is his dislike of Donald Trump.
And sitting at 3.4% in a FiveThirtyEight Republican primary national poll, it looks like that campaign strategy by Christie isn’t going so well.
It’s unlikely that any more appearances on far-Left programs like The View, will help to boost those polling numbers either.
