The California governor is a strong supporter of Joe Biden. But his recent words have everyone confused.
And Gavin Newsom’s latest comments about Biden has Democrats in a state of shock.
California Governor Gavin Newsom (D-CA) has been asked many times whether or not he’ll run for president and replace Joe Biden as the Democrat party’s nominee this November.
And even though he’s made a multitude of appearances around the country, signaling he may be running a shadow campaign, he’s repeatedly shut down the idea that he’ll be running for president and has instead expressed his support for Biden.
Newsom even came forward to defend Biden’s age and overall record during a recent appearance on NBC News’ “Meet the Press.”
“We have American manufacturing coming back home, all because of Biden’s wisdom, because of his temperance, his capacity to lead in a bipartisan manner – which is an underrepresented point. So I have great confidence moving forward,” Newsom began in his defense of the 81-year-old president.
“So the answer is absolutely. All in, in terms of the next four years for Joe Biden.”
The California Leftist also had the audacity to say that Biden’s old age is why he’s been so successful thus far.
“I’ve been out with him as you know, on the campaign trail – was just out in California – I’ve seen him up close. I’ve seen him from afar, but here’s my point. It’s because of his age that he’s been so successful,” Newsom continued.
“It’s because of the wisdom and the character that’s developed over the years.”
“So the opportunity to express that for four more years, what a gift it is for the American people, and as a Democrat, what it gets for me to make the case for the leader of our party, Joe Biden.”
Gov. Newsom must not be paying attention very well or he’s completely lying through his teeth.
Biden’s age is certainly not a gift to the American people.
How many times during his presidency so far has he forgotten the names of world leaders while speaking at an event or a press conference?
That’s also not to mention the many other gaffes he’s committed while appearing in public, including looking physically unable to perform one of the most stressful jobs in the world.
In fact, during his trip out to California, he was widely ridiculed for the way he and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) awkwardly shuffled across the airport tarmac in San Francisco while holding hands.

At this point, Newsom has to be trying to save face for the Democrat party with Biden as their leader.
But the American people can see right through his attempts.
