The GOP is in need of some major changes if they want to defeat the Left in November. Those changes may be coming quicker than expected.
Because Trump made a giant announcement that could change the Republican Party for good.
The Republican National Committee (RNC) received a major shake-up on Monday after chairwoman Ronna McDaniel and co-chair Drew McKissick announced that they would be leaving their posts on March 8.
Michael Whatley, who is the chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party, announced his bid for McDaniel’s position soon after.
That then led to Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of former President Donald Trump, to announce her bid for co-chair of the RNC.
Lara Trump said on X that Whatley “will do an incredible job! It will be my honor to work alongside him for the future of this country – I’m excited to officially announce my candidacy for co-chair of the RNC.”
“I promise you that I will be laser-focused on election integrity, voter turnout, and ensuring every dollar spent goes towards winning!”

According to reports from Politico, Lara Trump penned a letter to the 168 members of the RNC which in part said that she was “proud to have the endorsement of my father-in-law and 45th president, Donald J. Trump, for this position and understand the fundamental importance of this role.”
“In the coming days, I look forward to connecting with you, the members of the RNC, and hopefully earning your vote.”
Lara is the wife of Eric Trump, who is Donald Trump’s second oldest son.
As for the former president, he’s delighted that his daughter-in-law is trying to take on the role of co-chair, as he plans to try and remold the RNC altogether with people from his reelection campaign.
Chris LaCivita, a senior adviser on the Trump campaign, will potentially be the chief operating officer for the RNC.
On February 12, Donald Trump endorsed Whatley, Lara Trump, and LaCivita in a public statement.
Politico also reports that Lara Trump added in her letter that she wants to create an “election integrity program,” as well as putting together a “deep dive through all of the RNC’s existing contracts and vendor agreements, identifying what’s useful and what isn’t.”
The RNC will hold elections on who to fill their soon-to-be vacant leadership positions on March 8 in Houston, Texas.
Both Lara Trump and Whatley are expected to cruise to a victory through a majority decision in those elections.
This could be a major turning point for former President Trump who could definitely benefit from a revamped RNC this election season.
And if the Committee is able to get things organized in time for November, then a massive amount of Republican victories could be seen all throughout the country.
