The Biden campaign is sounding the alarm after this swing state’s latest election announcement

The 2024 presidential election will come down to these crucial battleground states. But Joe Biden has work to do if he has any chance of winning them.

And the Biden campaign is sounding the alarm after this swing state’s latest election announcement.

In the 2016 presidential election, Donald Trump was fortunate enough to carry the states of Wisconsin and Michigan.

Those states helped propel him to winning the presidency over former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

In 2020, Trump wasn’t as fortunate, as President Joe Biden was able to secure both of those states.

But according to the latest survey from Campaign Now, the former president’s luck may change come election day.

According to the survey, almost two-thirds of unregistered voters in Wisconsin and Michigan want to become registered to vote in time for November.

These unregistered voters most likely identify as Republicans, which is obviously an advantage for Donald Trump.

25% of them even want help when getting registered.

“The fact that 62% of the respondents said they were interested in participating in 2024 shows what an opportunity there is for engagement and the fact that nearly a quarter of those respondents said they would like assistance demonstrates that this should be a priority for conservative campaigns, the Republican Party and like-minded public policy organizations,” John Connors of Campaign Now said.

Campaign Now’s survey also added that there’s “a potential unregistered, likely GOP-aligned citizen cohort of about 3 million in the top 5 presidential swing states.”

Specifically, those numbers include 311,206 unregistered and likely GOP voters in Wisconsin, as well as 581,173 unregistered and likely GOP voters in Michigan.

If these voters end up casting their ballots for Trump this fall, then he would fairly easily carry both of those states.

In the 2020 election, Donald Trump lost Wisconsin by only a little more than 22,000 votes.

He lost Michigan by roughly 154,000 votes.

Connor also explained that this group of voters is hard to reach. So therefore, if Trump could secure their vote, he would have made a massive achievement in his quest to secure a second term to the White House.

“This may be the toughest citizen group to reach that I’ve ever seen,” Connor stated.

“There is a high level of apathy and mistrust in the political and electoral process and a deep inward focus on family and work priorities that makes this group understandably disengaged from registering as a voter, let alone participate in elections.”

Donald Trump’s swing state news continues to be good, especially as he’s performing well in polls in most battleground states.

Meanwhile, President Joe Biden and his campaign have plenty of work to do in these states if they have any hope of winning reelection this year.
