Boebert has had her run-ins with the law. She has been a problem-child for the GOP.
And now Lauren Boebert’s career is crashing down after she was accused of a sickening crime.
Boebert Campaign Spent Thousands on Texas Weekend Coinciding with Kid Rock Event
Federal Election Commission records reveal that Rep. Lauren Boebert’s reelection committee paid more than $3,300 for tickets and lodging during a May 2025 weekend in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, the same weekend musician Kid Rock hosted a major rodeo and bull-riding competition at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
What the Filings Show
Boebert’s principal campaign committee, Lauren Boebert for Congress, recorded a $925 expenditure to AT&T Stadium on May 16 for event tickets and another $2,455 to the nearby luxury hotel Live! By Loews–Arlington for lodging from May 16 through 18.
Kid Rock headlined the inaugural Rock N Rodeo event that Friday and Saturday as part of the Professional Bull Riding World Finals festivities, drawing a large country-music and conservative-leaning crowd.
The expenditures were first reported by the Daily Mail and have since circulated widely, prompting renewed scrutiny of how members of Congress may use donor money.
The Legal Line on Campaign Spending
Federal law explicitly bars the conversion of campaign funds to personal use, meaning any expense that would exist irrespective of a candidate’s campaign or official duties.
Attending concerts or sporting events can be legitimate if the primary purpose is political, such as fundraising, donor meetings, or constituent outreach, and if the activity is properly documented and disclosed. Purely recreational or social outings, however, must be paid for with personal funds.
As of December 10, 2025, Boebert’s campaign has not publicly detailed the official purpose of the Texas trip or responded to media inquiries from the Washington Times and other outlets seeking clarification.
Context Around the Trip
Kid Rock has been a prominent Trump supporter, performing at multiple campaign events and appearing onstage with the president at the 2024 Republican National Convention.
Boebert and Kid Rock were photographed together at Trump’s January 2025 inauguration festivities and have fueled ongoing dating rumors, though neither has confirmed a relationship.
Recent reports also indicate Boebert has been dating Colorado real-estate broker Kyle Pearcy since late 2024.
While the timing and location have drawn attention, the ultimate permissibility of the spending will depend on whether the campaign can demonstrate a valid political purpose tied to the congresswoman’s electoral or official responsibilities. Similar questions have arisen in past cycles with both Republican and Democratic members when entertainment or travel expenses overlap with personal connections or leisure events.
