George Clooney, the aging actor known for his liberal leanings, recently opened up about his past ties to President Donald Trump. He painted a picture of a once-friendly relationship that soured when Trump stepped into the political arena.
Clooney, now 64, admitted to Variety that he and Trump were on good terms back in the day. “I knew him very well,” Clooney said to Variety. “He used to call me a lot, and he tried to help me get into a hospital once to see a back surgeon. I’d see him out at clubs and at restaurants.”
But according to Clooney, everything flipped once Trump gained real power. “He’s a big goofball. Well, he was,” the actor stated. “That all changed.”
Clooney’s gripes come at a time when Trump is riding high in his second term, proving that not all of Tinseltown shares the actor’s sour view.
In fact, a wave of celebrities have thrown their weight behind the president, showing that patriotism is making a comeback even in liberal strongholds.
Take Kid Rock, the unapologetic rocker who’s been a Trump booster from the start. He captured the excitement perfectly during a January spot on “Fox & Friends Weekend.”
“It feels like the rebirth of our nation,” he said.
The musician nailed the vibe that’s sweeping the country. “There’s just this overwhelming sense … you’ve heard it a million times, that America’s back.”
Kid Rock pointed out how Hollywood is finally warming up to Trump after his 2024 reelection victory. It’s like the elites are realizing they can’t ignore the will of the people anymore.
“Now they feel it’s safe to go in the water after dipping their toe in it for four to eight years,” he said. “I mean, welcome to the party, like I’ve said. Better to have them on board than not.”
Country music sensation Carrie Underwood showed her true colors by performing at Trump’s inauguration. She didn’t hesitate to honor the moment with her powerful voice.
“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event,” she stated.
Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany have stepped up too, making repeated public shows of support for President Trump. These folks aren’t afraid to stand tall for American values.

The president laid out the mission clear as day. “They will serve as Special Envoys to me for the purpose of bringing Hollywood, which has lost much business over the last four years to Foreign Countries, BACK – BIGGER, BETTER, AND STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE!”
He wrapped it up with a promise of revival. “These three very talented people will be my eyes and ears, and I will get done what they suggest. It will again be, like The United States of America itself, The Golden Age of Hollywood!”
