The time for the Democrats to turn things around is right now. If they don’t there will be no more blue team.
But the Democrats’ most important meeting every descended into total chaos according to new reports.
Democrats’ Woke Madness Pushes Voters to the Brink as Party Hits Rock Bottom
Former Democratic strategist Dan Turrentine blasted his party on Monday after the opening day of the Democratic National Committee’s summer meeting in Minnesota. Turrentine, appearing on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle,” highlighted how the Democrats’ ongoing embrace of far-left cultural agendas is alienating everyday Americans and tanking their electoral prospects.
The meeting kicked off with a so-called “land acknowledgement,” a ritual where participants solemnly noted that the land in Minnesota was supposedly stolen from indigenous tribes. This kind of virtue-signaling stunt, Turrentine argued, exemplifies the party’s detachment from real issues facing the nation, repeating the same errors that have left Democrats scrambling for relevance.
Turrentine didn’t hold back in his criticism, pointing out that the Democrats are trapped in a cycle of self-destruction. “Laura, you said it: it’s the definition of insanity: you just keep doing the same thing over and over again. And as a Democrat, it’s maddening that we’re still not serious,” Turrentine told host Laura Ingraham.
He went on to explain the root of the problem, stressing that the party’s woes stem from cultural alienation rather than a lack of aggression. “You said it: we haven’t lost 4.5 million voters, nor is our brand at a historic low, because we don’t fight hard enough. It’s because we remain completely culturally disconnected and we have absolutely no agenda.”
Turrentine contrasted this with President Trump’s approach, noting how Republicans focus on solutions while Democrats resort to smears and distractions. “You said earlier in your monologue: [President Donald] Trump’s trying to solve problems,” he continued.
“We always offer the three P’s: the personal attacks, which you just heard: ‘He’s a dictator and authoritative.’ We argue process: ‘Oh, he shouldn’t do this, he’s violating customs and norms.’ Or it’s the press: ‘It’s their job to do it.’ And then on the cultural issues — we literally have think tanks putting memos out that ‘these are the words you’re not supposed to say.’ You add it all up and we are not in good shape.”
During the DNC gathering, leaders like Chairman Ken Martin and former vice presidential nominee Tim Walz unleashed tirades against Trump, labeling him as an authoritarian threat. Their rhetoric painted a picture of impending doom under Republican rule, but critics say it only underlines the Democrats’ reliance on fear-mongering instead of policy wins.
Martin warned the crowd of dire consequences, declaring, “Democrats, make no mistake, a storm is coming. In fact, it’s already here.” He railed against “rising inequality, attacks on democracy, voter suppression and a fascist regime that doesn’t play by the rules.”
Walz took a more mocking tone, imagining the simplicity of being a Republican. “Think of how easy it would be to be a d*mn Republican. Oh, what should I wear today? This stupid, frickin’ red hat. What should I say today? I don’t know, just make sure it’s cruel,” Walz said. “Who do we listen to? [President Donald Trump]. Oh, the felon in the White House? Yeah, listen to him and that will be fine. Now he’s talking about burning flags, he’s gonna have flag burning or whatever. Because he knows there’s a h*ll of a lot of flag with his picture on it that are gonna get burned.”
Even liberal outfits like the Third Way think tank are sounding the alarm, issuing a memo last Thursday urging Democrats to ditch “woke” jargon that turns off normal voters. The document listed 45 terms and phrases to avoid, claiming they make the party seem like “extreme, divisive, elitist, and obfuscatory enforcers of wokeness” that no average person would use.
This pushback comes amid plummeting poll numbers for Democrats, with a March CNN survey showing their favorability at a dismal 29 percent low, while a July Quinnipiac poll pegged approval of their congressional leaders at just 19 percent, another record bottom. The party is also grappling with internal squabbles, fundraising shortfalls, and a massive drop in voter registrations.
The Democrats’ nosedive in popularity ties directly to their fixation on identity politics and radical woke ideologies, which have driven away core voter groups. Recent analyses show that in the 2024 election, working-class Americans, including significant shares of Black and Hispanic voters, shifted toward Trump, frustrated by the party’s emphasis on divisive racial agendas over economic concerns. Polls reveal perceptions of Democrats as “out of touch” and “woke,” eroding support among white men, Hispanic men, and the working class, with approval dipping below 35 percent in key demographics.
This voter exodus is evident in registration data, where Democrats hemorrhaged over 4.5 million identifiers to Republicans across 30 states between 2020 and 2024, a trend that continued into 2025 with further losses. Experts point to the party’s identity-focused strategies, like Vice President Kamala Harris’s targeted “Opportunity Agenda” for Black men, as backfiring and alienating audiences by prioritizing exclusive group alliances.
Far-left slogans such as “Defund the Police” and “From the River to the Sea” have repelled historic numbers of Latinos, Blacks, Asians, and Jews, according to Democratic insiders, contributing to Trump’s gains among these groups. In 2024, Trump doubled his Black voter support to 15 percent and captured nearly half of Hispanic votes, driven by turnout shifts away from Democrats perceived as elitist.
