Swalwell made his career being anti-Trump. Now his true colors are showing.

Because Eric Swalwell is in hot water after multiple women accuse him of heinous acts.

Swalwell’s Pattern of Entitlement

As California Rep. Eric Swalwell positions himself as a leading contender to replace Gov. Gavin Newsom, fresh concerns are surfacing about his personal conduct around women.

Once again, questions of judgment and boundaries are dogging the longtime Democrat, whose history of questionable associations now appears to extend into allegations of exploiting power for personal gain.

“Shocking” Number of Women Coming Forward

Democratic activist and attorney Cheyenne Hunt, a former congressional candidate herself, says she has been contacted by multiple women with similar stories. What began with a close friend quickly expanded as others recognized a familiar pattern.

“I got involved because the first victim who approached me is a close friend, but when I saw that there were others who’s experiences fit the same pattern of manipulation and abuse of power, I knew I couldn’t stay silent,” Hunt said.

She described the alleged behavior in stark terms: “Targeting employees, interns, and fans. Acting as a mentor just to exploit that power. DMs and Snapchat messages. Allegations ranging from uncomfortable comments to potentially criminal conduct.”

Hunt noted that after going public with one account, more women felt safe speaking up: “Other women needed to know that they were not alone and that someone had their backs if they came forward. After I spoke about my friend’s experience, many brave women came forward and shared their stories with me.”

In a March 31 Instagram video, Hunt had already raised red flags: “You know Eric Swalwell has sl-pt with many of his interns and makes them all sign NDAs so they don’t speak up, right? And when I was 19 he tried hitting on me and sliding into my DMs.”

She added that the response has been eye-opening: “The number of credible women who have come forward since I posted my video is pretty shocking and connecting them with the investigative reporting teams who have been working on breaking this for years has greatly expedited this process. I am confident this story will break soon.”

Hunt, who works on the Hill and understands the environment, emphasized she is proceeding carefully as an attorney: “I am an attorney. I am well aware of the risk I am taking by speaking out publicly and that fact that if I were to lie about a powerful public figure on a platform of my size, I could easily be subject to a defamation lawsuit.” She stated plainly, “The truth is an absolute defense and they know that.”

Her motivation, she insisted, goes beyond party lines: “Having this conversation publicly makes me a liability. But I do not believe in holding republicans to a different standard than we are willing to uphold ourselves. No more predators in power, from either party, period.”

Trouble for Swalwell’s Gubernatorial Ambitions

Another Democratic strategist, Bhavik Lathia, echoed the seriousness on X: “This is real. Take it seriously. Eric Swalwell cannot be our nominee.” He added, “There is going to be a lot more coming out soon. I can’t say more right now, but stay tuned,” and stressed, “And this isn’t some partisan witch hunt. These are real Dem women coming forward. A lot of this shit is going to shock yall.”

Swalwell, married with three children and in Congress since 2013, has not responded to requests for comment. His office stayed silent as these claims gained traction.

For a politician already burdened by past controversies—including his well-known ties to a suspected Chinese spy— these emerging allegations paint a picture of someone who may have long treated positions of influence as personal opportunities rather than public trust.

As Swalwell campaigns for California’s top job, voters may wonder whether his pattern of behavior makes him unfit for even greater power. The women involved are reportedly securing legal support and working with reporters, suggesting the full story could surface at any time.
