Republicans have been waiting for this. They want the Left to be held accountable.
And the FCC announced an investigation against this radical Leftist talk show.
In a bold move that’s shaking up the media landscape, FCC Chairman Brendan Carr is turning the spotlight on ABC’s “The View,” questioning whether it truly qualifies as real news. This investigation, revealed during a fiery segment on Fox News Channel’s “Ingraham Angle,” highlights the growing pushback against biased broadcasting giants.
Carr didn’t mince words when he appeared on the show Wednesday, laying out the case against Disney-owned ABC. He pointed out how these networks have long hidden behind claims of journalistic integrity to push their agendas without accountability.
Host Laura Ingraham dove right in, asking about the probe. “You are investigating ‘The View,’ I think on FCC regulatory violations. What’s happening there.”
Responding directly, Carr explained the heart of the issue. “Disney has a program called ‘The View.’ And they’ve been asserting the position that ‘The View’ is what is known as bona fide news in the statute. If you are bona fide news, you don’t have to give candidates equal airtime. But Disney and ‘The View’ have not established that that program is, in fact, bona fide news. We’ve started enforcement proceedings, taking a look at that. And, again, we’re going to hold broadcasters accountable.”
“The days that these legacy media broadcasters get to decide what we can say, what we can think, who we can vote for are over. I think President Trump played a key role in just smashing the facade that they still get to decide the narrative here.”
This isn’t just about one show—it’s a wakeup call for the entire establishment media. For too long, outlets like ABC have acted as kingmakers, tilting the scales in elections by deciding who gets airtime and who doesn’t.
Ingraham pressed further, noting the left’s predictable backlash. “But the narrative is you and Trump are authoritarians for threatening these types of investigations, which makes them change their content. But to the audience watching who is not familiar with what this equal time rule has traditionally always been about explain.”
Carr broke it down simply, reminding everyone that these rules aren’t new inventions meant to silence dissent. They’re safeguards designed to prevent media monopolies from manipulating public opinion.
“The equal time rules were put in place back in the 1950s by Congress. And again, the idea is you don’t want these legacy media gatekeepers picking the candidates. They’re going to win primaries or general elections about more speech, more information, empowering viewers.”
At its core, this probe is about leveling the playing field. Why should Hollywood elites at Disney get to masquerade as neutral news while stacking the deck against conservative voices?
President Trump’s influence looms large here, as Carr credited him with exposing the hypocrisy of these so-called journalists. It’s no secret that Trump has battled fake news head-on, and now the FCC is following suit.
For everyday Americans tired of being force-fed liberal talking points, this investigation feels like a victory. Shows like “The View” have spent years bashing conservatives without giving them a fair shake.
Imagine if the roles were reversed—would the left tolerate a right-leaning show dodging equal time rules? Of course not. This double standard has gone on long enough.
Carr’s actions send a clear message: the era of unchecked media bias is crumbling. Broadcasters must now prove they’re actually delivering news, not propaganda.
In the end, empowering viewers means more voices, not fewer. That’s the American way—fair, free, and unafraid to call out the gatekeepers.
