Biden pretends he’s a “faithful Catholic,” when in reality he is just a leftist mouthpiece. But he wasn’t prepared for what the Pope had in store for him.
And Joe Biden’s faith was shaken after being smacked with this revelation from the Vatican.
Joe Biden is one among many politicians in the United States who uses Catholic Christianity as a cloak for their radical plans.
Another is former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who has used her supposed faith as justification for her support of abortion, same-sex marriage, and transgenderism.
Of course, all of this stands in direct contrast to the Catholic faith, but that hasn’t stopped them from peddling their progressive plots as devotion to Jesus Christ.
With the death of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, Biden and Pelosi both announced their condolences, but it looks like the former pontiff wants nothing to do with these Catholics-in-name-only.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Wednesday that President Joe Biden was not invited to the funeral of Pope Benedict XVI on Thursday. Instead, the U.S. ambassador to Italy will represent the United States at the funeral.
It wasn’t clear if not inviting Biden, who is a Catholic but is a strong supporter of abortion, was a direct insult. But Jean-Pierre said that the way things were was what the late pope would have wanted.
“The U.S. Ambassador to the Holy See, Joe Donnelly, will represent the United States at the funeral of the Pope, in line with the wishes of the late Pope and the Vatican,” Jean-Pierre said. “This is what — this is what their requests were. This is what their wishes were.”
Born in Germany, Benedict died on December 31, when he was 95 years old. He gave up being pope in 2013, when Pope Francis took over, but he kept the title of “pope emeritus.”
Euro News says that the only countries whose delegations were officially invited were Italy and Germany. Matteo Burni, a spokesman for the Vatican, said, “If other heads of state or government come, they will come on their own.”
Queen Sofia of Spain and King Philippe of Belgium will also be at Pope Benedict’s funeral. So will the German president, Frank-Walter Steinmeier. The presidents of Poland and Portugal will also be there. They are Andrzej Duda and Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
Jean-Pierre said that Biden liked Benedict, whom he had met more than ten years ago.
“So, as the President said in his statement, as I’m sure you saw, he joins Catholics and so many others around the world in mourning the passing of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI,” Jean-Pierre said. “He will always remember the Pope’s generosity and meaningful conversation they had when he visited the Vatican in 2011.”
Biden’s support for abortion has upset Catholics, like when he criticized the U.S. Supreme Court in September 2021 for not stopping a Texas law that effectively bans most abortions after six weeks and again last year after Roe v. Wade was overturned.
Biden was not allowed to take communion at a Catholic church in South Carolina in October 2019. Father Robert Morey, the pastor at Saint Anthony Catholic Church in Florence, said he refused Biden communion because “any public figure who advocates for abortion places himself or herself outside of Church teaching.”
“Holy Communion signifies we are one with God, each other and the Church. Our actions should reflect that,” Morey stated, adding, “As a priest, it is my responsibility to minister to those souls entrusted to my care, and I must do so even in the most difficult situations. I will keep Mr. Biden in my prayers.”
But Jean-Pierre kept saying on Wednesday that Biden is a religious person.
“Look, you know, the President, as you know, he takes his faith very seriously,” she told reporters. “This is someone who is passionate about his faith. That’s not something I even need to tell you; you know this for yourself.”
But the facts speak for themselves, Joe Biden has divorced himself from any communion with the Catholic Church.
