Violence among the Left is a real problem. But they don’t seem to be wanting to cool down the temperature.
And a leading Leftist issues a violent and dangerous warning towards Republicans.
In a display of raw aggression on CNN’s “OutFront,” Texas State Rep. Jolanda Jones, a Democrat gunning for a U.S. House seat, laid bare her no-holds-barred approach to taking on Republicans.
Host Erin Burnett kicked things off by highlighting Jones’s bold statement to Axios: “If they go low, I’m going to the gutter.”
Burnett pressed Jones on her fiery words, saying, “Representative, when I did see that quote, it made me stop in my tracks because, you know, you weren’t mincing words. You weren’t sitting in the corner. It has been a long time since we’ve heard anything like that. Democrats, in fact, have been known for saying when they go low, we go high, right? The famous mantra of the former First Lady Michelle Obama. But you are saying, no, that is not going to work anymore.”
Jones didn’t back down one bit. She fired back with unfiltered intensity, explaining why the old ways are failing her party. Her response pulled no punches, drawing from her personal background to justify a tougher stance.
She declared, “No, it absolutely doesn’t work. I’m from the hood okay, so when a bully comes, like if there are no rules, you literally have to figure it out.” Jones painted a picture of a political arena turned upside down, where traditional tactics just don’t cut it anymore.
Blaming President Donald Trump for shifting the rules of engagement, Jones argued that sticking to the status quo is a losing strategy. She tied this directly to the Democrats’ slipping support among key voter groups who are tired of weak leadership.
Jones hammered home the point: “So Donald Trump has changed things and people trying to do what’s always been done is not going to work. And I think that’s why Democrats are losing black people. That’s why they’re losing poor people, because poor people, all they want is for us to fight.”
This admission from within the Democrat ranks is music to conservative ears. For years, Republicans have been gaining ground with working-class Americans who feel ignored by elite liberals. Jones’s words expose the cracks in the left’s coalition.
She escalated her rhetoric even further, describing her fighting style in vivid, no-nonsense terms.
Jones said, “So if you hit me in my face, I’m not going to punch you back in your face. I’m going to go across your neck because we can go back and forth fighting each other’s faces. You’ve got to hit hard enough where they won’t come back.”
That “go across your neck” line is straight-up brutal, evoking images of all-out warfare rather than civil debate.
Jones didn’t stop at personal metaphors. She revealed her strategy on a national scale, boasting about urging fellow Democrats to retaliate aggressively against Republican strongholds.
She recounted, “And so, yeah, the same way, I went to New York and spoke with Governor Kathy Hochul and said, if they’re going to try to wipe us out in Texas, we need to wipe out every Republican in New York, in California, in Illinois.”
Wiping out opponents? That’s not just tough talk—it’s a declaration of intent to crush conservative voices in blue states. Republicans everywhere should take note: this is the Democrats’ new game plan, and it’s ruthless.
Jones wrapped up her rant with defiance, insisting she’s unapologetic about her approach. “No one can make me feel bad about fighting for the people that I represent, because the people that I represent need someone who’s willing to go in the ring and fight for them. That’s exactly what i’m going to do.”
Her supporters might cheer, but for everyone else, it smells like desperation from a party losing its grip on power.
