Pennsylvania’s own Senator John Fetterman, a Democrat no less, came out swinging in defense of the Trump administration’s no-nonsense crackdown on Venezuela’s corrupt regime. Fetterman didn’t hold back, blasting the fake news media for their relentless attacks while praising the smart, targeted moves against Maduro’s narco-terrorist network. It’s a rare moment of cross-aisle truth-telling that shows even some on the left can’t ignore the wins of real American leadership.
The U.S. just pulled off a major win by seizing an oil tanker right off Venezuela’s coast. This wasn’t some random grab – it hit straight at the heart of Maduro’s cash cow, the state-owned oil giant that’s been funding his iron-fisted rule.
And that’s just the latest in a string of victories. Since September, U.S. military heroes have taken out more than 20 boats and subs lurking in the Caribbean and Pacific, smashing the operations of drug-pushing terrorists who threaten American shores.
Fetterman got the inside scoop during a high-level briefing, and when NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo grilled him on whether this means we’re gearing up for a full-blown military showdown in or around Venezuela, the senator didn’t flinch.
“What did you learn, Senator, that gave you any comfort that we’re not heading into some kind of extended military exercise around Venezuela or in Venezuela?” Cuomo pressed.
But Fetterman shut that down quick. “I thought it was pretty comprehensive,” he shot back, before turning the tables on the media’s bogus narratives. He called out the press for painting U.S. forces as trigger-happy cowboys out there blasting anything that floats.
“And this idea, some things out in the media, it’s kind of putting out this — that the military’s just picking off any boat that comes across. That’s just not true,” Fetterman stated.
“I mean, there’s extensive intelligence and they know exactly who’s on that boat and they know what’s actually on that boat right now. And it’s quite frequently they decline to take it into (a) move on those things. When they move on those kinetic kinds of strikes, you know, they have absolute confidence who’s on it and what’s on it, and that’s exactly what it’s about. They are not just going around randomly shooting boats and those things. That’s just not the fact.”
This is classic Trump-era strategy at work – precise, intelligence-driven hits that keep America safe without unnecessary entanglements. President Trump himself laid down the law with his order for a total blockade on those sanctioned oil tankers slipping in and out of Venezuela. He also accused Maduro’s thugs of straight-up theft of oil and land.
Cuomo, ever the skeptic, pushed Fetterman on the details: “What did they steal?” he asked.
Fetterman laid it out plain and simple. “Iran is involved on that and Russia is involved on that and China as well, too.”
“That’s sanctioned oil right now … and those are the kinds of funds that support regimes like Iran’s. It’s not a plan like a land war and invade Venezuela, but seizing those kinds of oil tankers … it’s undeniable that that’s gonna support Iran … those are the kinds of fund that are going to be used for illicit things like terrorism. So for me, it makes a lot of sense, at least what I’ve seen.”
Fetterman’s stand here is a breath of fresh air in a swamp full of spineless politicians. Here’s a guy from the Democrat side admitting what we’ve known all along: Trump’s policies deliver results.
No endless wars, no apologies – just hard-hitting actions that protect American interests and weaken American enemies.
The legacy media, of course, can’t stand it. They’ve been peddling this fairy tale that the military is out there playing Wild West in the seas, zapping boats left and right without rhyme or reason.
Fetterman exposed that lie for what it is – pure propaganda designed to undermine a president who’s actually fighting back against the globalist threats.
