Pelosi is about as radical as them come. Her goal is to implement dangerous Leftist policies in this country.
And Nancy Pelosi just made a disturbing comment about the 2024 election that you have to see to believe.
In a conversation on Wednesday, former Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi emphasized that the process leading to Vice President Kamala Harris’ nomination as the Democratic presidential candidate was “open,” despite criticisms that no formal contest took place. Pelosi asserted that Harris “won it,” even though no other candidate entered the race after President Biden dropped out.
Leading up to Biden’s withdrawal as the Democratic nominee in mid-July, Pelosi had reportedly expressed her preference for a competitive, open primary if Biden needed to be replaced.
After Biden stepped down, and Harris was positioned to succeed him, Semafor’s Kadia Goba questioned Pelosi about the lack of competition, especially considering the “excitement” surrounding Harris’ candidacy.
Pelosi stood firm, stating, “No, I didn’t change my mind. We had an open primary and [Kamala Harris] won it. Nobody else got in the race.”
She acknowledged that there were people preparing to run, but noted Harris’ rapid rise: “She just took off with it… it was a blessing because there was not that much time between then and the election, and it sort of saved time.”

Pelosi reiterated that the primary was open, but no one chose to challenge Harris. “It’s just that nobody got in because she had a running start,” she said.
After Biden’s July 21 announcement that he would not seek re-election, he endorsed Harris the same day.
Harris effectively became the presumptive nominee, and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) proceeded with an unprecedented virtual roll call at the party’s convention in August.
In this virtual vote, Harris received 99% support from participating delegates, as she was the only candidate who qualified for the ballot. Despite three challengers attempting to run, none were able to gather the 300 delegate signatures required to be listed.
Conservative critics were quick to dismiss Pelosi’s characterization of the process. Ryan Walker, executive director at Heritage Action for America, argued, “The votes of 14 million Americans who voted for Joe Biden were thrown away as Harris was installed as the Democrats’ nominee for president – a job for which she has never received a single vote…Saying she won an open primary is a joke.”
Jenny Beth Martin, president of the Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund, echoed this sentiment, accusing Pelosi of political manipulation. “Listening to Nancy Pelosi’s comments about Joe Biden, you could almost forget that she was one of many who lied to us about his condition…It doesn’t surprise me at all that she’d now try to lie about what she calls the ‘open nomination’ process.”
Despite these accusations, academic election experts have maintained that the process was both legal and within the DNC’s discretion. Jeremy Mayer, a professor at George Mason University, explained, “It’s not a coup, as some would say. You could probably sue the party for a civil tort… but it wouldn’t be a violation of election law.”
Political communication expert Leonard Steinhorn of American University also pointed out the logistical constraints the Democrats faced with only a few months until the election. “One has to ask themselves: What else would a party do?” Steinhorn said, adding that it was Harris’ swift consolidation of support, aided by Biden’s endorsement, that prevented others from entering the race.
Both Mayer and Steinhorn agreed that while the process deviated from modern expectations, it wasn’t unprecedented. Mayer pointed out that prior to 1968, party conventions, not primaries, determined presidential nominees. He likened Harris’ selection to historical precedent, adding, “She was picked in the way that we picked our candidates from 1832 to 1968…we expect today for a president to be picked by the people in an open primary process. And that’s not what happened with Harris.”
In a recent appearance on ABC’s The View, Pelosi defended the process, reiterating that it was fair and open. “Anybody could have gotten in. She got in, and she won,” Pelosi said, highlighting the significance of Biden’s endorsement and Harris’ political savvy in securing the nomination.
