America’s enemies are legion. And it’s time someone did something about it.
Now President Trump admitted his plans to attack this foreign nation with devastating force.
Trump Eyes Ground Operations Against Venezuelan Cartels
President Trump revealed Wednesday that his administration is weighing land-based strikes on Venezuela-linked drug networks following the neutralization of roughly half a dozen smuggling boats at sea, signaling a broader escalation in the campaign.
“We are certainly looking at land now because we’ve got the sea under control,” he said in response to a reporter’s question in the Oval Office.
“A lot of Venezuelan drugs come in through the sea. So you get to see that, but we’re going to stop them by land also.”
Trump had earlier signaled intentions to extend military actions beyond maritime targets since launching strikes on Venezuelan vessels starting September 2.
CIA Involvement and Maduro Pressure
The president also verified Wednesday that he has greenlit the CIA for covert activities aimed at undermining the Venezuelan regime.
Trump sidestepped questions on whether this includes orders to eliminate President Nicolas Maduro, targeted by U.S. accusations of abetting drug trafficking.
“Wouldn’t it be a ridiculous question for me to answer?” he said. “But I think Venezuela is feeling heat.”
Trump justified the boat strikes—which have reportedly resulted in at least 27 deaths among presumed “narco-terrorists”—as a response to decades of unsuccessful Coast Guard efforts.
He noted that while smugglers employ swift vessels, they cannot outpace military missiles.
Show of Force in Caribbean Waters
Three U.S. B-52 bombers were observed Wednesday patrolling international airspace near Venezuela, per online flight monitoring services, in what appears to be a deliberate display of military resolve.
The Pentagon offered no immediate response to inquiries about the flight’s objectives.
This intensifying strategy against Venezuelan cartels marks a direct assault on American rights to a secure homeland, as unchecked drug flows erode public health, fuel crime, and infringe on the liberty of citizens to live free from the scourge of narcotics. By expanding operations to land and authorizing clandestine efforts, the Trump administration is reclaiming these protections, countering foreign-enabled threats that have long undermined national sovereignty and individual safety.
