Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has enjoyed incredible success in the Sunshine State. That’s made him a top target of the Democrats.
And Ron DeSantis’ jaw hit the floor when he heard what Democrats just said about him.
Republican Governor Ron DeSantis has yet to formally announce his candidacy for President, but that hasn’t stopped all the speculation from flying.
He’s a major force to be reckoned with in the political scene right now, especially because he’s enjoying approval ratings much higher than that of most top politicians in American today.
Obviously, Ron DeSantis has a big hurdle to get over in Donald Trump who is currently the front-runner for the Republicans. A race between the two could fall either way.
Democrats, however, are stuck with Joe Biden. And they are worried sick about Joe Biden’s chances of winning re-election and have begun bickering over who they want Biden to run against between DeSantis and Trump.
Recently, Mark Penn with the Wall Street Journal wrote an Op-Ed that discussed how Ron DeSantis can get right back to the front of the polls and win a Republican nomination against Donald Trump.
Penn was a major pollster and advisor for the Clinton family between the years 1995 and 2008.
He said he doesn’t normally like advising any Republican candidate, but he wants Ron DeSantis to beat Trump because he’s admittedly an unhinged Never-Trumper.
Penn only wants Trump to lose and says that he “wouldn’t count on President Biden to do it [beat Donald Trump] given his low job-approval rating and widespread doubts about his fitness.”
So, for Penn, he wants DeSantis to get Trump out of the picture so the country can pick between DeSantis or Biden. But his fellow Democrats are seriously split on this idea.
Democrat organization called “Third Way” sent a statement out to the media criticizing Mark Penn saying that his ideas were “dangerous.”
“It is significant that he is dismissing Biden as the way to stop Trump and is therefore pulling for DeSantis,” Third Way wrote in an official statement.
“We think that’s dangerous. It further reinforces the mistaken but widely held idea that Biden is not up to the tasks of the presidency or the campaign,” the statement continues.
The Leftist organization says that Biden absolutely will beat Trump, no questions asked.
There’s an underlying motive for Third Way to push Trump over DeSantis, though. Some Democrats believe that their best chance to get Biden another four years is for him to run against Donald Trump.
They argue that the American people are tired of Trump and that he doesn’t stand a chance. Whether or not that is true will be determined if Trump meets Biden at the ballot box in 2024.
More significantly, though, is the fact that Democrats are seriously worried about the possibility of Ron DeSantis running against Joe Biden in 2024.
Many political pollsters and experts argue that Biden has no chance against Ron DeSantis in the 2024.
DeSantis is a younger candidate with much higher approval ratings. That alone could turn a 2024 matchup between DeSantis and Biden into a bloodbath.
Third Way won’t say it, but they know Ron DeSantis is their worst nightmare right now.
